What a loss.

That one two punch of Chariots Of Fire and Blade Runner is still pretty untouchable. I can’t think of another soundtrack of any film that just increased in earned emotional value the way Blade Runner did over the years. A massive talent.

Conquest of Paradise is my favorite work he's done. The film itself has its positives here and there (Michael Wincott steals the show as he usually does), but the soundtrack is in another league altogether. The way he blends electronic and acoustic elements together... whew. The man was always ahead of his time.

We've lost one of the all-time greats.

Blade runner is my favourite film of all time and the soundtrack is peerless. I saw the film 'in concert' last year with an orchestra playing the music while the film was on a screen, he will be missed

Add his theme to Cosmos. Was the transcendental cosmic theme music for the gen. RIP.

His score for "The Bounty" is hauntingly good and definitely worth checking out if you haven't yet.
