I really can't see this movie being bad, infact I think it may be better then the original (which is good, but a tad overated to say the least).

I'm really hoping that SSC follows suit and offers up some RZ Halloween figures. I want Michael and want Asylum Michael as well.

They need to get license to do a Shatner mask based H1 Michael first, I want Zombie version pieces from them as well, but with the quality if sculpting they've demonstrated in the HS department of late, they need to revisit classic Michael, their previous figure is just to generic looking, a well sculpted head on a nicely tailored body would make for a great figure.

I agree completely that the 1st version needs a redo but the odds are that if we get a new Michael it'll be Zombie's incarnation first...

No, I guess soon, NECA updated their site, last time they did that for the 18" Hannibal Lecter I found it the following week, so here's to hoping, the film is coming soon so now'd be a good time, I'm gonna hit up my local comic shop next week and see if they have it or know when it's coming, definitely will get pics up soon as I get my hands on it, but the set looks fantastic, even if the movie turns out terrbile, it's an undeniably badass figure worth having in a Myers collection.

Thanks for the additional info. Much appreciated!! :)

I agree that it's definitely a badass look for Myers. Very brutal. Very terrifying. The creepiest part of the new trailers is showing young Michael wearing the clown suit with the adult Myers mask.

And before anyone jumps me, that's not really a spoiler since it's all over the previews. :)

UPDATE: I just checked the article on NECA's site with those pictures. The 7 inch action figure will be released in September.

I do have my doubts about this movie but that part was pretty unsettling. I wonder which ending they will go with?

Well, the concept of young Michael wearing the white mask was Zombie's way of justifying the decay of the mask, and having the mask loaded with wear and tear is a nice touch to make him badass looking, and also, gives a little more significance to that mask choice. I can't wait to see this film, I love the reflections of the original that you see in the trailer, but I'm also curious about the new changes.

The movie may work, but I just DO NOT agree with the Leatherfacing of the Myers character. AT ALL. Michael Myers should never be a 7 foot tall behemoth with long hair. This is Zombie's way of amping him up, but it just falls as forced and lame, imho.

Tyler Mane is 6'8. His build is long and lanky. Michael Myers in this film will be long and lanky without a hulking build. He won't be thick and behemoth like Leatherface is. Hope that clears up some of the misconceptions.....:D

Well, he certainly looks "thick" in those asylum shots in the latest trailer.

The movie will work in its own context but I agree with you that he shouldn't be this hulking dude in a mask. For me one of the things scary about Myers is that he's visually a normal looking guy and could be anyone in that mask. Tyler main looked monstrous in those images of him being chained up standing next to those guards.

Looks can be deceiving. Andrew Bryniarski who plays Leatherface is 6'5 appx 250-275lbs.

Tyler Mane 6'8 appx 210-230lbs, I met them both in person. Bryniarski is thick with a neck like a tree trunk huge guy. Tyler Mane is tall and thin. He's not a huge guy. He's tall and long and lanky.

He does look huge in those Asylum pics because he's a good foot taller than most of the actors playing the guards. Lew Temple is a tiny guy, Bill Moseley is small guy. Don't know about Danny Trejo, but I'm guessing he's no taller than 6 feet tall.

I'm 6'5 with a long and lanky build, much like how Tyler Mane is built. Except 3 inches shorter.:D

Plus he is wearing layers in the asylum scenes, Shirt bathrobe etc.

I'm way over ****yzing this. If they wanted a huge guy to play Myers they could have gone with a bunch of other guys who are bigger and taller than Tyler Mane.

Press Screenings cancelled.

Uh oh.

Well it could be because it either sucks or piracy reasons. War of the Worlds, AVP and others have canceled their screenings for reasons like that. Still this doesn't change my glass have empty approach to this movie.

Its a horror movie. Very, very rarely do the critics even like, let alone love, horror movies. It is probably best to keep them and their negative thoughts away as long as possible so people on the fense about seeing the film will go before they hear how 'bad' it is.

The preview at Comic-Con looked great. I'm looking forward to it, and *may* even get to see it with a former Michael Myers himself :monkey3
