Both are quite terrible IMO. Call me a pu$$y, but I can't dig the animal slaughter in that movie.

Pu$$y? Why because you actually have morals or even a soul? I agree with you, at least I think I know what you are referring to! I think movies like SAW, Hostel, etc are pathetic attempts to grab the attention of people and dull their senses even further.

If you look at movies like Halloween, Amittyville Horror, The Shinning, etc you will find a very small amount of violence or senseless gore but yet they're considered classics! And rightfully so!

I (if my avatar isn't a good enough give away) am a big horror flick fan but not for the ridiculous violence but for the old fashion creep show. I dunno, maybe i'm alone when I say that SOME horror movies are going too far.

Just my 2 cents though.

This movie looks awesome! I'm really hoping that SSC makes a new Michael Myers based on this...

I don't mind certain movies if they're good. I don't care for SAW much since it's a series of movies based off a gimmick. It's like they build the movie around the death scenes. Hostel part one I liked since it was a fun movie with likable characters in it, it worked with the set-up of three horny guys totally ignoring every warning sign out there (which was really funny), part two was ok but didn't do much for me. Gore I don't mind, but it all depends on the execution.

But killing real animals on film isn't my cup of tea.

Since when did they kill a real animal?

I don't know what they're talking about above, but the film "Cannibal Holocaust" features tons of real animal cruelty. It's the most disgusting film I've ever seen, and the only film in which I had to close my eyes to get through. The infamous "turtle scene" is beyond horrific.

Where did you watch this film? Sounds sick! Who made the movie?

Ruggero Deodato directed it, it has a decent cult folowning. I refuse to watch it because I love animals and refuse to whitness it. But if you're really interested I suspect most dvd stores carry it.

It's not a bad movie and there is tons of metaphors you can take from it but it's not something I'm dying to see again. It's pretty gory even without the animal killings. Pretty famous horror movie images have come from that movie.

I've heard that for awhile and honestly I'll believe it when I see it (actually maybe I won't see... you get the idea). It'll be like the Argento Suspiria remake that never happened.

I'm not liking what I'm hearing on this thing....I'm getting a liiiiitle nervous. I just want it to be good.

Is that available now, MaulFan??

No, I guess soon, NECA updated their site, last time they did that for the 18" Hannibal Lecter I found it the following week, so here's to hoping, the film is coming soon so now'd be a good time, I'm gonna hit up my local comic shop next week and see if they have it or know when it's coming, definitely will get pics up soon as I get my hands on it, but the set looks fantastic, even if the movie turns out terrbile, it's an undeniably badass figure worth having in a Myers collection.

I'm really hoping that SSC follows suit and offers up some RZ Halloween figures. I want Michael and want Asylum Michael as well.
