Re: robbiethepainter's project thread.

Looking at that backpack I believe when it comes to accessories your up there with Rainman! Can't think of a higher compliment to pay you than that since he is the best.

Nice work n the backpack! Tackle tons of detail in it, the choice of size and proportion is excellence as well. Great work over all!

Re: robbiethepainter's project thread.

Though not my cup of tea, I can appreciate amazing work when I see it and this is nothing short of that. I have come to be more excited to follow your thread and see what you are working on next than the announcements from HT's. I can't wait to see what you have in mind for head sculpts in the future. Your attention to detail is unmatched. Simply fantastic work, Robbie.

Re: robbiethepainter's project thread.

I thought I would share what my day job is.

Here is a small set that I am currently working on for a graduate student at my University. The fun part is this a repertory show so it has to be taken down completely every other day.

Below is the model that I built showing the design. 1/4"=1' scale.

Here are the process shots of the walls built by my scene shop under my direction. I am also scenic painter so I have to paint everything. All this is framed out luaun with carved foam for the relief sections.

This is it loaded in the space. Its not done yet but its starting to take shape. Still more painting to do and its missing lots of the details.

Original 1/8" scale model before the we scaled it back do to budget. This set came back from the shop at $118,000 and we only had a budget of $40,000. That was a tough week I tell you.
