You guys are nuts. You really want to be marketted to while you're trying to enjoy a something? I'll be pissed the day I see an upcoming movie advertised in the movie I'm watching in the theater. I can't even stand commercials on TV reminding me that the only reason I'm being entertained is so that somebody can try to sell my crap.

Is this just an online gaming thing that is constantly updated, or is this in a purchased game and those adds will always be there? Sorry for my ignorance in gaming, but married life doesn't leave a lot of time for games.

Dude you're looking way too much into the negative aspect of it. I can't stand ads in general either, but when used seamlessly in games and movies it can actually up the believability and cool factor by a whole mile.

The thing is, do you rather see a made up billboard ad "Predatorians 2010", or a real ad "Predators" which is possibly something that you can't wait to see in Theaters? Having something real is always better then something made up in movies and games. A character drinking Pepsi is always better than one drinking "Pepie" because they can't use the real thing. Whether or not the "Evil Empires" made money off of it is irrelevant, it's simply a win-win situation and you gotta enjoy it for what it is.

All the ads and promotion in GTA games are funny and tolerable because it's all fake. Not to mention creative. If it were all real ads and promo for real things it would be beyond annoying.

Yeah true. There were real ads in Tom Clancys rainbow six las vegas as well. I suppose in a way it ads realism to the game, and makes it feel current.

O and the ads update, if you played it in a few months it would probably show a different film.

The samething was done in Mercs 2 with the Sarah Connor chronicals. What I don't like is that the game makers were paied for placement of the ads within the game yet still charge full price for it.

.......and? Often times it's chump change or an agreement with the same company developing the game from the movie. Why should they drop the price? For all you know that extra cash was spent on development.
