Textbook deflection. Sounds more like you feel ashamed of yourself for liking it. :lol

:lol I disconcurbulate! (my new made-up word for the day) I stand by what I said.

I'd like you all to see it, and if you still hate it and have valid, thoughtful reasons for doing so based on the actual film I will accept your hatred....perhaps even be swayed by it.

I just saw this film with every intention of coming here to rant about how terrible it was, sadly I can do no such thing as I found it to be extremely enjoyable.

this alex murphy was forgettable. its like watching a flightless, gun totting iron man movie. he's too agile compared to the robocop i grew up with. it still baffles me why they kept the human hand. LOL at nolanverse realism with that alone. i mean **** logic silly in the azz. :lol

So will this movie have the same fate as Dredd.

dont you dare jinx the Dredd franchise.

Too late for that, cinema Dredd is dead. :(

RC was heavily advertised, lets see how it does.

Movies I don't like or have no interest in I will see once, so its got my business. :lol

Makes sense for him to be more agile. They simply couldn't do that back in the 80s but if you built a cyborg you wouldn't have him only able to walk if you could have run and jump long distances

Just saw it. It gets an 8/10 from me. It's actually a decent movie. It tries to put its own spin on the character, and give us an alternative take on the RoboCop story. Hugely enjoyable. I have heard a few people question whether or not the movie has any heartfelt story or any emotional investment in its characters, well I can confirm it does. Scenes with Murphy coming to terms with the full extent of what has happened to him, and the scenes of him returning to his family to see his wife and kid are certainly emotional. I definitely felt for them.

I'll definitely be seeing again and buying on Blu-Ray.

I am traveling, but am surely going to see it. I have been saying that from day 1. My view the old robocop on imdb landed at about 7-7.5 and this one will be similar.

I am a big fan of the old robocop and have always been - but i always get kicked when someone tries to do a different take on something dated. If i like it i will support it, if i dont i still think its a good idea to revisit the subject, especially cause i like JK from the killing and he is one of my favs.

The only problem - i will get to see it a week down the line - post my travel :( ...

I am also likely to buy the silver suite he wears cause i think it looks awesome on JK...
