Not a fan of how this looks so far but it looks a little better here with the helmet and gun.

Ok those last ones are the best looking pics so far. Im not saying i like them.

I don't think it looks that bad, but more armor than robot. They haven't released any publicity/marketing shots of the final suit, so I'm guessing there's still something to it we've not yet seen.

What I hate is the main actor's attitude toward the original Robo and Weller's performance.

Crap suit = bad movie.....let's be honest, Robocop's awesomeness was part suit, part Weller, and part badguys

Take away the cool suit, and the movie is already 33.3% more crappy

That sounds like fanboy nonesense I would expect to read in the SW when comparing armor from film to figure.

Robocop was awesome because well he was awesome. He threw people through walls and shot a guys nuts between a womans legs. I don't recall the color of the suite making him awesome.

Not a big fan of the chest armor... but I like the helmet quite a lot...
It's a wait and see for me... though a more interesting palette would've been great, to avoid looking so generic.

Probably to show "what's left his humanity" or some ****.

In the the original, his arm/hand is saved but they remove his good arm and make it a prosthetic. This new one seems to be doing the exact opposite.

I know - was having a little fun with it. In reality, the movie was badass for the following reasons

Weller
Cool Suit -
Awesomeness that is Kurtwood Smith
Awesomeness that is Ronny Cox
Badass Awesomeness that is Miguel Ferrer
uncompromising amt of hardcore violence
Interesting comment on 'present day' thru those memorable commercials
memorable lines like, 'B****es LEAVE'
Ending - 'What's your name son?' = Murphy!

PS - love the Criterion 'X rated' cut of course!
