Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

Wait, his hand will be ungloved like that in the movie ? Wtf

Yep..they said it's so that he's recognized by the public as still being "human". Not the real world but in the movie itself. He uses the hand to wave or shake hands to show to everyone that he isn't just a robot but a human.

What a joke. :slap Everytime I look at it I feel like it the special "lost-your-glove-" edition.

Funny, but I remember watching the SDCC panel for this movie; Kinnaman essential said he was only human from the neck up.

Comicbookmovie had a article where they said that "They keep Alex's right hand as a humanizing element for when RoboCop shakes hands with people."

Sounds like the public will be scared of him shooting people down but then all will be well in Detroit when he shakes hands with people..

Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

When this hits DVD & Blu-Ray - & the bargain bin, folks will be buying it up in bulk because the discs will make great beer coasters for when you're kicking back watching the ORIGINAL film. :lol

Kinda sounds realistic, but I'm kinda looking forward to it and a new way of looking at Murphy and his story.
But...I guess it'll suck big time, although I'm as neutral as it gets and I'll be happy when I'm wrong and I maybe actually like it.

How on earth do these idiotic ideas get green lit anyway?? That's terrible.

Studio's see $$$$$$ before they see quality or any responsibility to fans. Basically its easy money and its been going on for decades.......

Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

I'm sorry, but I can't believe that hand being still alive connected to a robotic forearm, bicep, etc. I mean, how the hell could ya keep the tissue alive? I mean sure a artificial vein(s) could do that. But damn, talk about obvious target... Freakin shoot his arm off with a Grenade Launcher and the dude bleeds out... That's why the oringinal literally got rid of everything that exposed him, including his junk... To prevent bleed outs besides his internal organs, which could be replaced.

Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

Plus the hand would be no stronger than it was before, in fact it would just as vulnerable if not more unless its like the original's face covering the mechanical skull and its only a skin covering.
