Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

Now this is a modern twist that I can live it. Still sucks but better than the Batman version we're getting.

Bob Morton: I think we should lose the arm, what do you think Johnson?

Johnson:Leave the hand. A man needs one free hand.

Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

Would be nice if we just got a Robocop video game with Peter Weller voicing. *long sigh*

Love that redesign btw.

Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

Still completely and utterly sucks compared to this:

:exactly: For all the talk about trying to go with a more modern idea of what a cyborg would look like as opposed to what I guess they must think are quaint 80s ideas....the new idea sure does suck. 80s design kicks the living **** out of it.

I would have been satisfied with this:

Ideally, though, I would have liked it if they had used that EM-208 design for him.

Not the head of course, that's rubbish, but with either a standard Robocop helmet or something like this, with the human face visible behind a clear faceplate. They want to have him put people at ease? Then make the face visible, not the hand. :dunno Give it the black/white colors of a cop car to identify it as a law enforcer and you'd have a creative spin on the basic concept that's different but in the spirit of the original, not a lazy rehash of modern design elements. It'd also be really freaky because you know. Big inhuman robot with a dead human's face.

Real Detroit has filed for bankruptsy. :horror

Anyways, just finished watching one again.

That movie fires on all cylinders from beginning to end.

There is not one bad part.
