Then again, I'm autistic and I'd refuse to make this crap. Born in 1991 but the original (and like, only the first, the other 2 sucked) will always be better than this. NEXT!

I like the original, I'm going to reserve judgement on the 2014 version until I have actually seen the finished movie. I think that's what others should do too.

Just because a remake of one of your favourite movies is being made doesn't automatically make it terrible or a travesty. To slam it as a bad movie before you have already seen it is ridiculous. Give it a chance, if you don't like after seeing it, then fair enough. Although I suspect many people have already decided they aren't going to like it anyway, regardless of how they actually feel after they watch the movie.

Get real - it's a completely futile attempt at reinventing the wheel. :lol

It could be a super wheel though :lol

So what if it's futile or pointless to you; if anything it's going to introduce some people to a character they may not have previously explored, and they may find themselves watching the original and loving it.

And the 2014 version could just be a good movie maybe? Who knows.

Obviously each to their own, but judging something before it's even been seen is a bit silly I think.

"I bought some new jeans today"

"They're ****"

"But, you haven't seen them"

"I don't care, they're ****. They are just a remake of your old jeans..."

:exactly: :exactly:

Thats common with most movies these days...

Jamie Foxx said:
it used to be that people waited until after they saw a movie before deciding an opinion

Well, to start, I never disputed the fact that it might be futile or pointless to some people, even though I strongly disagree that this remake is entirely pointless.

Even IF it is indeed pointless, that does not denote a lack of quality, especially when nobody has even seen the damn thing.

Anyone who thinks you need remakes to introduce a new generation to Robocop etc should be blown out of a skyscrapers board room.
