Interesting update:

I emailed Sideshow Returns department and explained my thoughts and concerns with the paint app. They asked for several photos which I sent them. They said they wanted to compare my pics with some of the pieces from their warehouse. A few hours later I got a reply saying that theirs look no different than mine, zombie eyes and all.

They were nice enough to offer a refund regardless but I guess Ill just hang on to it and maybe seek out a repaint some day.
