You know, RAMBO 4 will be out in 2008!:chew

Doesn't look like it's happening right now. Shooting was going to take place in February but was postponed when Sly announced he was moving forward with POE, then got caught smuggling steroids into Australia in which he could face a hefty fine and possible imprisonment, though I am pretty sure that under international extradition laws the prison sentence will be waived as long as the fine is settled if he is found guilty and for a man of Stallone's wealth and notoriety it will pretty much amount to a slap on the wrist and the loss of a few dollars from his bank account which will give him some incentive to fast track Rambo 4 for some quick cash, IF it still happens.

This film was awesome.

Very much a 'Male' film. Deals with a lot of issues us blokes like to keep buried.

I was moved to tears in about 2 or 3 places.

This is currently my favourite movie of the year.

Great way to wrap up the franchise.

RB was one of my favorite films from last year and actually of the past few years. It was an amaziing return to the character by Sly. The love story at its heart is well done. It's pretty heart wrenching, but also a lot of fun.

I'll be there on Tuesday.

It's quite odd that two weeks in a row I'm buying a film on the day of release. Last week was Casino Royale. It has been years since I bought a new movie two weeks in a row.

Hell, one week with a new movie on release day is a big thing these days.

First off, just so no one accidently runs out Monday to get this, it comes out on Tuesday March 20 in the states.

Secondyly, I think Rocky Balboa was done so well, it could almost even have stood on it's own without a franchise behind it, some plot points would have to be elaborated or removed that tie to past events, but it was just a really well done film and I think Sly's growinng bonds to Christianity helped him to really touch upon emotional things and really give the film story and not just fluff with some great fight and training sequences.

Tuesday will be expensive...

Rocky, Eargon, Blood Diamond, Batman Beyond v.3, Justice League s.2

not to mention Boba Fett PF and we are buying a new dinning room table/chairs tomorrow.

After THE DEPARTED, this was my favorite movie of 2006. No joke.

It's the second best film in the franchise. Sly nailed it.

i heard on a news program that the penalty was a fine only, no jail time, just a $90,000 fine.

I have not seen this movie yet. I can not wait!:monkey5

have you seen the orignal Rocky? version 6 is basically a remake of that film, minus adrian. versin 6 was OK. the guy rocky fought had all the energy and charisma of a wet noodle. after fighting apollo creed, clubber lange, ivan drago and even tommy gunn, the guy he fights in version 6 was a big letdown. they should of cast a good actor instead of a boxer.

I agree except that Mason Dixon wasn't really Rocky's adversary. The real opponent in the film is Rocky's son and having to reconcile his relationship while trying to prove to everyone that he's not just a washed up old fighter with nothing left inside. Mason just happened to be the current champ and it was an exhibition match just to see if the computer scenario was right. Really, the fight at the end is only incidental. In the other films, they had to build a larger-than-life opponent that was more aggressive and stronger in order to make Rocky look like he could beat the odds and become the underdog champion. In Rocky 6, it doesn't matter. Rocky loses to Dixon but he clearly won the match in more ways than eno. Rocky proved to himself and to the world that he still had "stuff in the basement."

I rented this for kicks last week and I have to say I LOVED IT!! It really brought back all the memories of watching Rocky movies as a kid. Stallone was great, story was great and it really kept the feeling of the old movies. I'll be buying this for sure.
