Where could you rent it early?

My rental place puts them out the Wednesday previous to the release date...maybe I should shut up now! :D

I rented that and Eragon, which is a great flick too by the way.

Man, it's finally here and no one wants to talk about it.

Im watching it right now,shhhhhh.

didnt see it in theatres. so far, im sad that stallone looks so old. ONly about 30 mins into the movie.

I'm glad a Rocky movie was made in the age of DVDs, it's nice to see some of the making of elements and go beyond the film, I don't know about the Rocky special edition DVD, but the Anthology is minimal on content, the most recently released one anyway.

I just finished watching it, and I have to say it was a nice way to send Rocky out. Thankfully, our last memories of him won't have to be from part 5.

The only part of the movie I found lacking was the fight, mainly because Mason Dixon was such a terminally dull character. Everything up to that, and the final scene were beautiful though. The big fight itself is only incidental anyway.

Even after all these years, my heart still races a bit when that training montage kicks in.

Lame as it may sound, and aware this is all fiction I am, but the training montage and Sly/Rocky's age really inspires me to work harder at my own workout and that I can reach the weight loss goal I have for myself, and Bill Conti is just the man for creating such inspirational music. I agree with you about the fight, part of me wish there had been more of a Rocky-Dixon dynamic because all the previous films, even *gulp* 5, had drama of sorts between the opponents, where in this one, despite some dialogue, the fight was really Rocky battling his conflicts inside and Dixon became a physical manifestation of it. In my opinion, I think it'd be hard to watch this film and not be inspired to be better at something you care about, or aspire to be more than you are, a powerful and very well done film, thanks Sly!

LOVE IT!

This movie is waaaay better than it has any right to be. My copy is coming in the mail, and I can't wait to see it again!

Interesting thing, there are deleted scenes on the dvd and in one, there is a picture of Rocky fighting Apollo, but Apollo's face is blurred out, so that along with not seeing Rocky vs. Apollo clips in the highlight reel before the fight makes me wonder if there was some issue where Carl Weathers wouldn't let his image be used.

Yeah, he's a little twichy nowdays. He also gave Jakks Pacific a lot of trouble with his Apollo Creed action figure. I guess he didn't like the original sculpt (which the fans loved and was seen on Series 1 figures) and he made them redo it until he approved the likeness. Funny thing is, the Series 2 and beyond figures look nothing like him, now.

'Been a long time since Action Jackson, Carl...

Yeah there was he wanted a ****load of $$$

greedy bastard.

You know, some of these guys act all proud to be in films when the camera's on them, but when it comes to something like this, pride is sold out for money, sad. Me, I would have loved to be a part of this series one last time, even if it was just a highlight/photo.

I guess too much $$$ over the years does something to your head.

(his character in rocky 1 fits him well now)

Oh well, at least we had Paulie, wouldn't be Rocky without him and his humor. I wonder if Talia Shire wanted no part of it or if Sly never wanted her in it and always intened Adrian's status to aid the story, I think you could have elaborated the story a little more and kept the same concept but had her make a modern appearance, would've been nice to have her in one last time. Also cool to have Duke back, it never occurred to me until I watched all the films more when I heard about RB, but Duke is one of the 3 actors/characters to be in all 6 films. Did anyone else notice when they do the weigh in scene, the guy with the crazy mustache who used to intro Rocky fights like the Apollo vs. Drago fight, was in there standing around, maybe just for a cameo appearance.

I like Rocky so much now, brought about by this film coming out, this is my Rocky music collection I put together in iTunes, it took a bit to put together and acquire the tracks.
