Man if someone doesn't like the 3rd act of this movie i'm afraid to see what they thought of the 1st act. :lol

I personally was never into the outer space dog fighting that some of the films have. It's probably one of the reasons why episode VII is the only star wars film I actually love and I really like Empire strikes back. Something about airborne battles just kind of bore me.

Have you tried...not being...a Star Wars fan. :lol

Director Neal Marshal's RO review is a good one:

Rogue One - Star Wars films are nothing if not divisive. Not that surprising given the legions of passionate fans that have grown up with the saga for the past 40 years. It’s a unique phenomena and is worth having a little heated debate over every now and then. If The Force Awakens was a love letter to the originals, it also had its heart firmly set on seducing a whole new generation of fans. Rogue One feels like a different animal. It’s absolutely made for us 1st generation fans, a Star Wars movie for grown ups, and no apologies necessary. Certainly it has its flaws, but so did Force Awakens. And yet despite them, I’m still suckered every time. I just love spending time in this universe. I’m now looking forward to Star Wars being a yearly Christmas tradition, like Lord of the Rings was for while. With Rogue One, Gareth Edwards has delivered a war movie, the Dirty Dozen in space, and why not? After a meandering first act it picks up the pace, and leads to one of the best finales of the entire saga - a space battle to rival Endor, a ground battle to rival Hoth, Darth Vader kicking off and finally showing us why the rebels were right to be scared ****less of him, and a resolution that is true to the story yet still manages to be triumphant. Can’t wait for the sequel…. oh wait.

All things being equal do 3D. But if a 2D screen is bigger go then size > 3D. I've seen it in 15/70 2D IMAX and digital IMAX 3D. The 15/70 was more impressive but that's dependent on whether that's an option in your area.

I would be walking out and the ticket person would be like, Joe your wife called while you were watching the movie she asked if you could pick up milk on your way home lol.

I just saw Rogue one for the first time and I really enjoyed it. I thought it fit into the universe rather well and it was great seeing a lot of the easter eggs. I thought Tarkin was superbly evil and even though he was a digital character I enjoyed seeing him. Something not quite right in overall appearance but so close to being life like that its creepy. The music had moments where it really fit and moments where it felt like it was made for another movie. Really surprised by how good the movie was overall. The Vader vs. the soldiers was awesome to see and what I was hoping to see in episode 3. James Earl Jones was great as usual and I look forward to more movies in the universe.

I just saw Lala Land and, after it was over, walked into Rogue One and saw it for free. It was right before Cassian shot that dude.
