I may sound like a Star Wars novice but was it ever explained why these guys never showed up in the original trilogy?

Like how the U-Wings have been brought into the OT era through new canon material, you kind of just have to go with they're there but you don't see them.

But you can gather that Death Troopers were rare to begin with, attached to officers and projects of importance as we see them with Krennic, Thrawn, and guarding a large kyber crystal. It's easy to reconcile their lack of screen presence if you consider that special forces rarely try to put themselves in the spotlight.

Yeah I can buy that. Sounds plausible once you put it that way.

On a side note note, love the statue but hate the base.

Can you guys help me with the Death Trooper PF helmet! I can't get the damn lights to work, I contacted sideshow, they sent me a replacement, I cant get that to work either. Any ideas?

When I unpacked the helmet the lights didn't work either. Just take out both small batteries and put them in again. That is what worked for me.

Man Ive tried like a million times, even got new batteries, still doesn't light up. Two helmets! Dont know what I should do.

Wow guys, this statue really surprised me. I wasn't going to get him but when I saw people posting pics of him i had to. What an amazing piece and an awesome addition to my dark side collection. I did a video which I hope might help anyone who is interested/purchase him. I also hope that this video helps those who purchased him, have an easier time putting him together because it was really annoying putting him together. Did u try flipping the batteries around? I did that and it works.

My first helmet was defective, so sideshow sent me another. I couldn't get that to work, so they sent me another one again. Yes it was the batteries were not placed correctly because the stupid diagram in the helmet shows the battery placement wrong. Now I have two working helmets and one defective one. Wonder what I should do with them

I had a mega find today.... I happened to be shopping and came across a store that had this for half price. Last one and a bit dusty, but has come up great.
Paid $380 AUS about $260 US.
Really happy with him, agree with others on here, took a while to attach everything. I wonder if these troopers will feature in any upcoming Star Wars series?
