Hey guys, we're all toy collectors here so i figure we've all come to this hobby through certain media mediums such as tv, movies, music, comics novel , etc etc.

So do you guys have any role models you have found through these?

Mine are Captain Jonathan Archer of Star Trek: Enterprise, Captain Jean Luc Picard of Star Trek: TNG, Jacen Solo from Star wars and Col.Jack'O Neille from Stargate Sg-1.

Wat about you guys?

Spider-Man, Luke Skywalker, Optimus Prime, Voltron, He-Man, Lion-O and many more are all heroes of mine and were my role models when I was a kid.

That's an awesome quote.

My family was so poor - we had to pay interest on the attention we paid.

creating something great and then suckering people in to spending emense money on the same movies with added computer graphics to total about 15 minutes, truely a great man. no im for real, whats more american then that

Chuck Yeager! He was the man! I played his flight sims on a very old PC! I wanted to fly those planes so bad and still do.

Naked Snake - "Real heroes are never made public."

Solid Snake - "Fight for something you believe in and find it for yourself. If you do, pass it on to the future."

Snake is about the coolest muther****er you can come across.. I can't explain it.. play the game.

Nothing to do with collectibles but my role model is where I got my name from. Early in his career, he was overshadowed by Jason Kidd and Kevin Johnson. No one really thought he'd amount to much, being 6'2 190lbs he isnt the most intimidating presence on the court. Traded to Dallas, was booed by Dallas fans his first few years there. Fast forward to the present, the 2 time back to back reigning NBA MVP, and in very close contention for his 3rd straight MVP award. Just a true team player and embodiment of desire, perseverance, and working hard despite all the odds against you.

Already being labeled one of the greatest point guards to ever play the game, Nash is only the second point guard along with Magic Johnson, to win the MVP award multiple times. He sits among the company of past back-to-back MVP awards: Magic Johnson, Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Moses Malone, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan and Tim Duncan.

JACEN SOLO !!!! Even though he is going evil? Quite a bold pick. I also do love jack o'neil from stargate. Reading LoTR, I always had a certain affinity for Frodo Baggins.

BUT, out of all the mediums that I read/watch/etc, there is only one character that is a true role model for me. Big Boy Blue, Superman. I mean, here is a guy who could do anything he wants, pretty much without anybody to stop him, but chooses to help people with self-sacrifice.

As far as role models from fiction and that kind of stuff goes, my (obvious) choice is Faramir. I first read Lord of the Rings when I was 11 or 12 years old, and his character struck me in such a way that I couldn't help but emulate him in my life. Everything I thought was good in a person was demonstrated by him--love, patience, strength, forthrightness, patience, honor, virtue, trust, selflessness, wisdom, learning, hardiness, gentleness, etc. The list goes on and on, and for me, Faramir is the epitome of true manhood.

Of course I'm sure none of you are surprised by any of that lol.

Definitely Dr Z from Galactica 1980

The Robbie Rist version not that imposter!

Kurgan had a take no prisoners kick ass attitude. He stood alone, never backed down and wrong or right, lived by his own code.
