the primer helps paint stick onto the sculpt.

i forgot to do it with my liam neeson sculpt, and it kept shipping off until I primed it.

I should do that.. my paint keeps coming of if rubbed to hard.:monkey2
Will sealing it prevent it from coming off?

It should do, but not to really heavy handling.

For sealing ,I'd suggest using a gloss varnish with a matt over the top

this was a limited run. in fact im almost sure he doesnt have any more. paul had this sculpt made for himself and when he posted it we hounded him so badly he decided to do a small run for us =)

Thanks away guys.....I may pick up another Ep2 Kenobi and try giving it a haircut. I did it a few years back with the Hasbro Ep2. I dremeled out the "mullet" area and filled it with putty and re-sculped the Ep3 haircut.

I did contact Paul , but he has not responded. I'm guessing he's very busy or out of town etc. I know better than anyone how busy daily life can be. There's no immediate rush it's just that head sculp is awesome!
Jim

That's a combination of an absolutely awesome sculpt and absolutely awesome re-paint! Fantastic! :clap

It's so good, I might have been persuaded to buy a head off you Paul!

Now that is IMPRESSIVE ! I totally see Ewan there! Very nice work my friend, your painting skills are improving by leaps and bounds . Now get him back onto the body and get some more cool photographs for us ! :)

thanks for the kind words :angelsmil this headsculpt was my first paint job ever.

as for the paint on the face, i used multiple washes and multiple layers of drybrushing. i dont think my pictures do it justice, in had there is a much better blend of colors in the face.

thanks again, maybe i wont quit cause i think i suck so bad :banghead

You certainly don't suck, you've done a fine job! I certainly wouldn't quit ! You're way ahead of me though , I'm not much of a painter, I'll admit to that . I don't have a painted version of this head in my possession yet !

If you've enjoyed painting this ( which I think you have ) then we've both accomplished what we both set out to do which was to have some fun with this.
