I think your paint job is good and you're not giving yourself enough credit. 1:6 head painting is difficult because it requires more detail than the smaller scaled stuff. Also it doesn't hurt to use some head fodder that you may have laying around to practice on. I usually use an old head to get a test run in for hair color, skin tone etc. before I start the main project. But again I think you are being too hard on yourself.

WHOAH ! That is fantastic ! That is going to look awesome when it is attached to the body. You've made a great job on it. Makes me want to get off my butt and teach myself how to paint ! Some seriously good work being shown on here ! There isn't a paintjob on any of the sculpts that I haven't been impressed with, you Guys rock !

Dont forget to pick up Pauls Anakin sculpt.. thats also going to be a blast to paint. Im planning on getting two, one for a regular anakin and one for a sith version... cant wait to get these.. :chew:chew

Maybe a tad long, but not skinny, I'm going to use a TT for it, so it should be OK since they compensate for the clothing.

The neck was made a little longer to help with moulding problems, the issue with the goatee being the main one. I also thought about how it would fit on a Hot Toys body and the fact that some of the neck adapters sit lower brought this mod into play. That and also the way the top collar sits around Obi's neck .
Anyhoo...
Some new pics for you. I was asked by one of the guys here if I could mod the Obi Wan head for him to make it more like the Clonobi head (with no neck) to attach to a Hot Toys or prometheus adapter. I quite liked the look of Obi with the missing neck after the modification ( funny that, after all the trouble I went to ...
) so I wondered what Anakin would look like too. With a cast that was in need of some tlc I went to work ..
And this was the result ...
They are both on the prometheus body . The Anakin would need more work around the attachment area as I made the hole a bit on the big side but I think they look pretty cool !
