Not allways. Amazon generaly sells them for the same they were sold for at the con, and so does teh Bluefin/tamashii online store. generaly you will have 3-4 months before the reasonably priced SDCC figures from tamashii dry up. not till november will the prces start to get terribly stupid.

this is becuase Tamashii makes HUGE runs of their Exlusive figures.

Thanks everyone, time to bug my SoCal cousin and then watch Amazon and BBTS too. You guys rock! :rock

Galactus? Galactus isn't evil at all from what I know, in fact, clearly Beerus is Galactus, a necessary destructor who keeps the galaxy in balance (or so is what I know from Beerus thus far).

AT one point galactus dies and it turns out he's necessary for the balance in life (right? Haven't read that arc myself). Galactus is also very intelligent.

Buu is solely about destruction though, and he does kinda "hunger" so I get the initial idea of it.

I'd still say Cell is Brainiac. Broly is doomsday, Frieza is just a tyrant so any tyrant would do. Maybe Buu is closer to Thanos in a way... Even though thanos is the darkseid copy.

I was thinking more in line with power. if you want personality, instead of power level?

Buu is the Joker.

Death, destruction, and carnage just for the sheer, simple joy of it? Joker is buu, and Buu is joker.

well in piccolo's case that's not true. at the con he was 40, everywhere else it was 60

Typical Blood, for the first time I've arranged my display same way as you, heroes - villains.

And Reg Goku and my second piccolo separately.

Piccolo was 40 at the con!? **** ME MAN! I'd have bought 4 probably.

Yes but also take into consideration the cost of entering the con lol

dude seriously. split the price of the enterence with all of the stuff you buy there and you get what?? 5 bucks may go to piccolo

:hi5::clap

pics man!

I'll get some when I've dusted my shelf for once.:lol And have perfected the poses a bit.

I like it a lot more than I thought lol. now the twins will be the direct divide between good and evil as my setup is horizontal!:yess:

And a seperate non era-bound spot for what I consider the two main characters of the franchise as a whole: Goku and Piccolo.

At NYCC, Piccolo was $60 before tax, everywhere at the con at that. Tamashii's official booth and so on but some booths had a higher tax or slightly higher initial price.

Cool to see another board vet getting heavy in this line Bar!:wave

Could somebody do me a massive solid hard masenko of a favor and post a picture of figuarts zero vegeta and goku side by side, and if possible, put the effect pieces of goku on vegeta?

That'd be grand...

Hah Thanks!

I've always been a Dragon Ball Z fan. I lived overseas in Southeast Asia in the 90's and for us kids it was ALL about DBZ. We collected DBZ cards (mostly counterfeits, well-made ones too, but some kids had original Japanese ones) and played a hands-on card game that involved flipping cards in order to "challenge" for another kid's card that you wanted. Got my Super Battle Collection figures there (that have long since been donated to charity) and even a few other unique DBZ toys (like rubber "Muscle Man"-like DBZ figures found in snack packs). I "read" the manga but had to have my Thai friends translate it for me. And I watched enough of the anime to understand what was going on.

It actually wasn't until I got older that I was able to buy the DVDs and watch it all the way through. The most recent DBZ merchandise I bought (besides the DVDs) was the Medicom regular and SSJ Goku's and some of the video games (Like Budokai Tenkaichi and Raging Blast). I got rid of my Medicoms when I sold a vast majority of my 1/6th collection a few years ago.

Saw the Figuarts SSJ3 Goku about a year or so ago and that's when they first piqued my interest. Never had I seen "good" DBZ figures. I was never really impressed by Bandai's work. They did some decent sculpts but either the articulation or paints sucked. Other toy companies didn't do much and I wasn't into getting statues (though some looked fantastic). Glad I finally decided to pull the trigger and give Figuarts a chance. They are REALLY well sculpted, well-made and extremely well-painted. I'm no recent DBZ fan by any means! But I am new to DBZ Figuarts and I'm lovin' them! :)

This special lady, finally arrived:
