Hey guys! I managed to pick up an official shf trunks figure for a ridiculously low price and i'm thinking of customizing it into a trunks unbound version like this -

$_57.JPG

Does anyone know where to still get that trunks head from? I haven't seen any on ebay in a long time and the one on amazon is like £60. Cheers! :)

(edit - sorry don't know how to make the image smaller)

Cool custom although the arms look kinda weird. As for the Datong Trunks head, they might be out of stock so you gotta wait a while before they relist them. Maybe like several weeks to a month?

There have been better versions of that then 1andonly's, there's this one from CosmicCustom on Dragon Ball Figures:

Not the cleanest paintjob but it's nicer looking than the above one, because it uses the original jacket amongst other things.
I'm sure if you give it a shot it'll look good takukari! Don't know where to find those heads on the cheap though.

Anybody know where to pick up 17 and 18 together where they are in stock?

I was initially planning on getting them from amazon, but now they are sold out of no 18.

Nope, sorry. Exclusive means exclusive, not we'll reissue once we receive enough demand. Tamashii is a Japanese company after all, the Japanese are a very proud and honourable race of people. It would be seen as very dishonest and highly disrespectful to not honour their promises. I'm sure Bluefin, as the American capitalists bastards they are, have been pressuring Tamashii to bend to foreign demand - but honestly, I don't see it happening.

First off, your comment regarding Bluefin as "American capitalist bastards" is out of line. Grow up. There's more constructive ways to get your point across without throwing that in. I was understanding until you said that.

The words of spokespeople from Bandai/Tamashii are being viewed in different lights and business policies change regularly for companies. And ultimately, as a business, they're decisions are driven by profit. And if there's money to be made with re-issues, then I'm sure Bandai will do it. They might be more conservative in arriving to that decision...but I'm sure they'll do it. The term "Exclusive" is so quickly thrown around and then negated when we see the products readily available elsewhere. So I take even Bandai's own word about "not reissuing web exclusives" with a grain of salt.

Unless you can provide evidence that BlueFin is "forcing and pressuring" Bandai to do this and that. Shut up. BlueFin has done an excellent job distributing Tamashii's products and getting them out there. They're trying to HELP Bandai out. Thanks to them, numerous online retailers including AMAZON and even down to Barnes & Noble booksellers are carrying them. They're stretching the net far and wide and allowing it to THRIVE and hopefully GROW further The Dragon Ball line would probably be dead if it wasn't for the foreign demand...YOUR demand.

Don't bring your anti-American garbage talk here.

Well said Bardoon. I agree fully. Exclusive is indeed thrown a lot, along with limited - Hot Toys are called 'Limited Edition' all the time but they aren't quite that limited. They sell out relatively fast at times, but limited is a bit of a stretch. And frankly, I agree whole-heatredly on keeping the anti-American out of here. Hate that ****, and I'm only half American.

dont you think theyhave more than enough control? look at all the villains that are getting released, 17 coming with a separate gun that fans asked for, 18 with the remote control, scouter crushing hand for vegeta,
brolly, a Big ass figure while tamashii and the asian market loves small figures cause kawaii desu

yeaah the north amrican market saved dbz but tamashii is still the big boss.

Very good points, blood. I believe all of those are huge steps forward. My sense of control, I feel there should be a contract clause between Bluefin and Tamashii in regards to re-releases. Tamashii can be strict with their web exclusive releases in the Japanese market, the gold sticker edition, while Bluefin can have more control over supply and demand in the American market, the white sticker edition. While Tamashii stays true to their "exclusivity," Bluefin can have the opportunity of re-releasing one figure a year to keep the line fresh and appealing to new collectors.

I wont get involved with this again, but one thing; Angelo, the stickers mean nothing, please stop stoking the fire with that :lol

I'm not attempting to stoke the fire. I'm just suggesting that Tamashii can have control of their exclusive releases, through the gold stickers/Japanese lettering or however they keep a record of quantity released to the Japanese market, and don't have to participate in a re-release program if they feel so strongly about their business ethics.

I received the Bandai Tamashii Nations Saint Cloth Myth EX Display Stage from Amazon today. The box of accessories is fantastic. I'm going to place another order when Broly is released. The displays are quite sturdier than the regular Stage Act 4 and seem to work well with larger figures.

^Ha! Don't be absurd. I wouldn't be so quick to assume that Bandai will renege on their current policy of no reissues and break their promise to consumers. That's a very American way of thinking, wouldn't you say?

No actually, that way of thinking has existed for thousands of years. It's called being pragmatic. If there would be anything arrogant about americans, it's the idea that they created that way of thinking.

It's as dumb as stereotyping by saying a japanese company would per definition act like some type of samurai.

You're being rude (not the first time) and you're stereotyping. The sad irony is that if anything, you affirm negative stereotypes that exist about australians. Give your own nationality a better image, instead of attacking others', and quit being a git.

Folks, calm down; we have different views, thats no reason to start hurling abuse, we arent children!

@blood ah cool, anime island for me, looks like I will be waiting a while :p
