I'm tellin you guys, if ya want the best deals then ya gotta constantly refresh that ebay search page with "Figuarts Trunks" or "Figuarts Frieza".. the best deals can be Buy-It-Nows, it's how I got my SSj Vegeta for $140 shipped like a month ago. A Trunks could've sold last night for $160 and somebody snatched it up minutes after it was listed!

We'll I struck a deal with the seller $75 shipped. Hopefully it's legit. If not I'm still protected by PayPal.

Congrats but I had zero interest in it. I hope I'm wrong but I see no white tips on the hair spikes, and vegeta does have that, I know because I have one. Looks like a knockoff to me...:dunno

But the auction is still active? It's currently at $41. How'd you manage to strike a deal if there are still people bidding on it?

Man ur the man. Tho I'm sad now since they aren't in scale and don't serve my purpose [emoji26]

Thanks friend and yes, I feel the same way :(, a bit taller would be ideal to put them with MU/SW figures.

This image is from the NYCC and shows the height between the 3 figures:

Broly and Goku are the same height.. lol why'd they do that

Orbital can you do a mock-up comparison of the Shodo Goku and Hybrid Action Broly figures?

Looking at the sold items makes me go insane sometimes. Somebody picked up a Super Saiyan Vegeta for $95 back on November 1st. NINETY-FIVE FREAKING DOLLARS!

Completed ebay listings can be misleading. For example once a Trunks "sold" for $130 MISB. What happened was I was the first bidder then the guy ended the auction a few minutes later with me winning. So it showed up as a sold for that price. But really, the guy ****ed up and pressed the wrong button when he meant to end it as someone offered him like $200 and he took it. So he refused to actually sell it to me. I didn't pay for it. But according to completed listings it says one sold for that price when that's not true.

This one seemed legit. I looked at the seller's feedback and it had the feedback from Super Saiyan Vegeta.

Edited: Whoops, let me fix that...

All this hassle for SS Vegeta? He's one if my favourite characters but the Da Tong one is almost just as good, with a few corrected paint apps it can be better even.

Trunks I get, he just isn't available any other way, but SS Vegeta is a different story.

You have to realise though, that datong is a bootleg, plain and simple, and should only be substituted for the real one until it becomes available.

The golden rule is dont take away revenue from Tamashii for a cheaper deal, unless thats the only option aka the real one isnt available.

I don't know how loyal I feel to tamashii as a new customer walking into a market where my favourite character costs more than my utilities for a month.

I won't lie, it's frustrating to either go without or succumb to scalpers but I'm thankful that Da Tong has provided that alternative, for a relatively simple/basic figure in the line.

I would never buy bootleg if the original was at least close to $150 new but when it's $25 vs $250+....not even a choice in my opinion.

you answerd your own question there ;)

"Give up the (almost) good for the great" :lecture

Bootlegs as counterfeit alternatives should only be considered/purchased until the real product is available at retail price. If Tamashii re-released Super Saiyan Vegeta, I would buy it. I would still hold onto the Datong Super Saiyan Vegeta figures but I would like to have at least one real production of the figure.

Ironic how even the Datong SSj Vegeta is starting to rise in price, before they were going for $30, even $20 but now I see it going for $60 and up

The only thing that you should truly be upset with Tamashii is their re-release/re-issue policy. That's the initial cause behind the after market prices but the prices themselves are resulted by the supply and demand from buyer to seller.
