There's definitely something different with his Kamehameha pose. I'm not sure if it's the hands or the arms. It seems to pose a lot better than Super Saiyan Goku...

I wonder if it's the bulky difference that you were mentioning, Big Deano. That would make sense for his arms to come closer.

I think the figure gets more poseability in the shoulders because of the gi. It's able to move the arms a bit more freely. Or it could just be the person who posed it is really good at posing.

I really want them to stick with this red color for the rest of their future releases, although in this case, the orange from the previous figures is the actual correct color according to the movie. I just REALLY want to see Ultimate Gohan in this red.

I really like the look of the red on the figure. I hope it doesn't change even though it wouldn't be accurate.

Edited: I doubt Ultimate Gohan will look any different than Normal Goku. Bluefin needs SDCC possibilities.

Yeah, I think it's the gi and the sculpt of the torso. Like Big Deano mentioned, the previous mold was bulky. I could never get his Kamehameha pose as straight as that new Goku appears. It's not off to the side, one arm isn't longer than the other, and the palms meet.

Now that I think about it, this must have been the 2015 Goku figure that Tamashii was talking about on their Twitter and not Super Saiyan 4 Goku. (Damn it!)

I just realized that I'm gonna have to get at least two of this figure to have him displayed in his Normal state and SSGSS or whatever the kids are calling this transformation.

Super Saiyan 4 is not off the table! I would be so pissed if they pulled a Shenron/Nappa on the Buu's and SSJ4. Screw Gohan's Ultimate headswap, I want SSJ4 Goku and Buu. It would be business suicide if they just canceled those beautiful prototypes. We'll prob see some news on these guys after all this RoF hype dies down.

Now that you mentioned that, I may do the same for my display. Seeing the movie may determine my decision but the trailers seemed to have showed him in his normal state for quite awhile.

That Super Saiyan 4 Goku is still my holy grail. The prototype was unbelievably stunning. There were rumors from Bluefin that Dragon Ball Z S.H. Figuarts is going to make a "big" presence at the SDCC.

It's almost like Super Saiyan 2 Gohan for me. I don't like not having the Super Saiyan head out on display but the Super Saiyan 2 head is just so ****ing boss looking and is the most important part of the figure. That's why I want to get some Manga Gohan figures so I can pose most of them in regular Super Saiyan form. Especially with Goku and Piccolo.

So I just ordered Krillin and Goku. So now I'm just missing roughly 6 Figures.... Piccolo,Gohan,SSJ Goku,Trunks,Perfect Cell, and Android 16... I plan on picking up Android 16 next month before he sky rockets...

I like displaying my figures in as many of their outfits as figurely (is that even a word?) possible. That's why I have five Trunks (Armored/Normal, Armored/SSJ, Jacket/Normal, Jacket/SSJ, Armored/Jacksdo) in my display!

The SSGSS sculpt hair is okay, but it needs spikes behind the ears. Otherwise it just looks like an upside tear drop.

I still have no idea who the heck the SDCC Exclusive is going to be. I'm holding out hope for anime accurate Perfect Cell the most.

Man, I hope we see release dates for those figures. I just need a release date on Super Saiyan 4 Goku. If it's in March, I'm going to have an overflow of man tears that month with Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Batman v. Superman. I think we'll finally find out about Gotenks and Gohan absorbed Super Buu release date(s). Maybe Goku and Frieza are a test to see how well two releases a month works for this line? I've noticed they're doing that with Avengers: Age of Ultron figures.

The "Over 8000!" may be a hint too but I don't want to get blood going.

Absolutely. I couldn't believe the Super Saiyan 4 Goku prototype. It looked very close to release ready. I honestly never thought they would get into GT territory until after everything Dragon Ball Z was completed. He must have been a top voter for their poll back in 2013.

What's new about Frieza? I feel like I'm missing his differences because all I have are the head and lower legs.

I don't think there was much to change at all anyways after looking at the official pictures from the movie. Maybe just a slight change in golden colors from the torso/head and his arms/legs.

The purple parts are different and the stomach seems longer and thinner, but apart from that and the faces he seems just repainted.

Edit: the waist is new aswell, probably to fix the leg not fitting snug.

Honestly, Cell should not be an SDCC exclusive because the characters have inconsistent colors in the anime, and the current Cell we have is a decent mix. Sometimes Piccolo would have a darker gi, and red bands for instance, and there's Vegetto's waist band too.

I'd honestly prefer SSJ3 Goku for SDCC with fixed articulation and better colors, we've all been over how awful his colors are. And plus with the Buu Saga focus, it'd be great since he's among the missed figures people need. Either that or Trunk's alternate colors

On that new Freiza, it looks like the lower legs are different pices, and maybe the hands, at least the hand connectors at least

Agreed FSLAR. Eventually we will get kid Buu (que cartoon appearing again [emoji38]) so we need a decent ssj3 Goku. I have the original, but I will sell him in a heartbeat if we get a better coloured sdcc version.

I'm wondering if the stomach is the same but appears longer and thinner because the purple part was made smaller. The waist is definitely new. Even how the torso fits into it.

Now that I'm looking at the picture, I can see a difference between the golds.
