I've read reports that the series takes place between Buu Saga and Battle of Gods. Anybody else read that?



Very cool. Which ones did you get? They have the whole line up, right? Which posters? Yeah, it's always exciting either getting up to date or finishing a collection. The Mario display was pretty cool. Bluefin had a lot of stuff that I was tempted to buy. I'm tempted to buy the Aliens/Predators, Gundam, and Megaman.

That's everything I got plus I picked up a pretty sweet Avengers Vs Justice League print. I'm kind of a Nintendo fan boy so the Mario series might be calling my name

I highly recommend Toyz in the Box. I've been buying my toys from them since last year and never did they let me down.

One time I pre-ordered a Revoltech Lupin from them and of course I paid full price right away. Later on, they lowered their selling price of Lupin. You know what they did? They automatically gave me a refund of the excess payment that I made and I didn't even know about the decreased price of Lupin! I was just surprised to get an email that they returned a few dollars to me because they lowered Lupin's price.

Toyz in the Box really has great customer service, great prices, and free shipping in the USA. They're my favorite online toy shop. I just pre-ordered Ultimate Gohan from them as well

They used to have discounts that a lot of people were using. I saved quite a lot of money with their Cyber Monday discount. Hopefully they bring that back this year.

Those are all the DC related figurines they have. They usually revolve around Silver/Golden age. The problem is actually finding them. BBTS actually has quite a few but the shipping has always held me back from ordering them. If you are looking for more modern age ones then you might wanna look at the chess set.

I never got into it because i didnt want a $400+ set lol Once you price it out it becomes crazy expensive but you could do a Marvel vs DC theme if you are really tempted

Decided to give TITB a try for the Vegitto and Kid Gohan releases since there's high price on this board about their service.

So after watching Son Goku y Friends Return, Battle of Gods, and soon Revival Freezer, you can make a good guess on what the overall tone will be like for the new series. I expect to see a lot of light-hearted humor, with a focus on skill and technique rather than "my ki blast is bigger therefore i win," reminiscent of early Dragon Ball. Jaco the Galactic Patrolman will no doubt make an appearance, as well as Pilaf & the gang. Based on the clips we've seen from RoF, the animation (especially the fighting scenes) are gonna be super smooth and intense. Those expecting to see a return to the gritty grimdark seriousness that was the Cell Saga, are gonna be disappointed.

Not sure how any situation could turn grim now that Goku and Vegeta can become ascended gods. That said it's going to be very interesting to see what they have in store for the series.

My guess is as they are now ascended saiyan gods, they are almost as strong, if not at the same level as Beerus. Yet Beerus confesses there are gods stronger than him and perhaps even Whis. However, that doesn't mean they are all evil. Beerus is pretty much their ally now, so who knows what will happennnnnn

Wow, that's unusual to see something focus on anything pre-52, especially the Golden and Silver Age. The shipping has always seemed to come into play when I ever consider ordering from BBTS. Holy **** do those chess sets look amazing. Wow, they even have Forever Evil sets! I would become so broke buying these sets. I wish I knew how to play chess!

I heard Resurrection of F is going to have a lot of that. They're focusing a lot of the fighting on technique and martial arts rather than blast-after-blast. I'm looking forward to the new series even though it won't have the same tone as the Cell Saga. New characters, new designs, and new figuarts! It's a great time to be a Dragon Ball Z fan.

Holy **** do those chess sets look amazing. Wow, they even have Forever Evil sets! I would become so broke buying these sets. I wish I knew how to play chess!

The chess pieces are actually the same price as the figurines and those focus on modern age costumes and themes and they are quite tempting but I can't justify it lol

I hope the new anime series would be brave enough to not always resort to Goku to be its hero and give other characters the chance to shine. For example, Krillin and the other humans can be given roles, which are still critical to whatever their goals have, that only they can take on while Goku and Vegeta are busy with something else. It would be great if they'd also have enemies that don't regenerate. If Cell didn't have regenerative abilities, he would've been killed earlier. If Buu didn't regenerate, he also would've been dead. It would be nice to have enemies that are truly smarter and more skilled, not simply stronger, than the heroes.

If Whis has the power to turn back time by a couple of seconds, it would also be interesting if other future characters had a variety of special skills that didn't rely on brute power alone. What if there was some god whose power is to instantly return any damage you cause to him back to yourself? No matter how strong Goku and Vegeta become, they'll only be hurting themselves if they attack this guy, so another solution would have to be figured out.

Anyway, I'm just glad the new series will start surprisingly soon! I hope the new characters would have nice designs and skills and it would lead to more Dragonball video games and toys
