From the android saga onwards, even into the Buu saga, his gi always has a purple hue to it in the belt and writbands when in ssj or above.
Yeah, I need color reference like that. One for Namek ver Goku and SS Goku c
That's not "purple" but it's a weird mix of the highlight color on his shirt and boots with a faint violet. I don't know why you'd say this is a "good" and "accurate" color for it when he only had this weird color scheme in only the #19 fight.

The gi is absolutely perfect for the Cell saga and technically the Buu saga but it's inaccurate to the form (guess the animators that handled that portion of the Cell Games are to blame). I wish we could have gotten that exact gi on the normal Goku body.
Earlier I mentioned the inconsistent skin tones which can be seen in that pic (not on the figure itself, but with the other figures in the line). In the anime turning SS doesn't give him a darker gi and tan skin. On it's own it looks great but at this point it stands out next to all the other figures (same for Vegeta and his overly pink skin).

For me it's true Angelo, because that explains the different stickers on Broly & A-16 in the Japanese versions.

That's exactly what I was thinking, Orbital! I thought it was strange that they didn't have the gold stickers and then Vegito had it. Couldn't find a decent explanation for it but after looking at that poster then it made sense.

Well what I'll say about SDCC Goku, his hair was painted horribly and doesn't match the rest of the line. And the gi, I don't like how faded it looks.

I'm agreeing with you, but it's not purple. The figure is still ugly.

Oh, ok my mistake [emoji38] I thought we were arguing about it being a different colour, not the shade. Yeah, in that case it isnt identical accurate, but if it was we would have another case of ssj3 Goku. They tried being 100% with him and look how that turned out!

It would go really well with Perfect Cell, too. I rarely see that display.

On another note, I think I just realized why we are going back to manga colours; dbz Kai Buu saga. It explains vegetto totally aswell as Goku and Gohans overly bright gi.
I'd like it more, if he didn't have the honey glazed paint job on his head.
SDCC Goku was the only figure I skipped.
I only got it to complete the line, but I dislike the SDCC Vegeta more. Sure it's accurate, but it's repugnant.

SDCC Goku is marvelous and anime accurate although MexiGoku is currently the most accurate according to the promo pics. He's definitely not worth what he goes for but he is the best representation for Cell/Android Saga Goku to date. With Namek Goku in the picture, SDCC Goku might not even be the most expensive figure anymore

Mexican convention exclusive retool of Goku into Namek Goku. I am hoping its also the sdcc exclusive but that hasnt been announced yet.

Would anyone have a previous release as a SDCC Exclusive? I hope they are seperate, but both easy to obtain.

Such a highly requested version of Goku wouldnt be such a limited exclusive. The mexican Goku will literally be one per person in an event that not many people will get to, so no, it really wont be easy to obtain. Unless they plan on releasing him later without the exclusive face he has to be SDCC to ever see a wider release.
