Took the words right out of my mouth, sort of speak. I'll rather exchange Bardock with Super Janemba as my holy grail. I have a vision for him and especially seeing that Nappa promo with the shouting mouth gives me good confidence in it. I hope Tamashii is creative enough to add this head attachment to his release if there ever is one.View attachment 184668

They should've done that Gohan instead of Ultimate. You could easily take the black head and stick it on normal Goku to make the one we got now (which is exactly what they did). Would've got Saiyaman AND Ultimate Gohan if they went with this one.

Agree 100% on Super Janemba. He would make such an amazing figure and he has one of the sickest designs for a DBZ villain. If he gets made, Gogeta will get made as well to go with him. Hell, we could even get Pikkon out of it if they're feeling fancy.

That has happened to others too though. Frieza was nearly a year I think and android 18 was over a year although her proto went through massive upgrades.

– I got my Holy Grail: SDCC Piccolo (meaning piccolo the way I want him). Runner up is sdcc gohan. (Funny: my gohan's bicep swivel wont ****ing move, a 180 from most peoples issue with it.)
– current holy grail: Tie: ultimate s/n Goku release (new body)/Majin Vegeta (although I don't need the M on it).
– Most anticipated release of what is announced? U Gohan. Mainly cause Mexigoku-gate.
– Won't be hear till the end of the line, pretty sure of that.

I just got SDCC Piccolo in, and so far this is bar none my favorite "upgrade" style repaint from the SDCC line. It took a friend convincing me to even get this one because most pictures don't even make it look like it has shading, but it's incredible.

Remember this being a debate for a while, also on polls, at least on my poll, saiyaman even won out. But Tamashii ended up going the cheap route after all... Which makes it so hard to understand why they don't regarding another certain release.

I'd personally like to see an orange gi teen Gohan. That was a great look.

That was only in a movie, was it not? With Broly being a success ( Making bigger figures also"Hulk") maybe they will explore more canon characters. Nice look most definitely.

I suggested the idea a while back that SDCC exclusives could be filler characters if they ever ran out of repaint ideas. Sure they would be new molds (mostly) but they wouldn't hurt the precious Japanese market Tamashii worries about so much and they're also exclusively from the anime, pleasing the American collectors. You could argue it hurts the international market outside of America but it's better to get the characters than to not have them at all. How many filler characters are really demanded outside of movie characters anyways? Since filler characters aren't necessarily needed by collectors, I think it would be something different that Tamashii could consider.

If I had to say what my "biggest wish" for this line would be, it'd have to be Yamcha. He didn't get nearly enough love as the series went on in terms of being outclassed by everyone else, but he's just awesome and Puar is my favorite "mini friend" of all. If I had my way the box would have:

Two backsides of the head: One would have long hair and the other short/clean. Even when he cut his hair, the bangs were pretty much the same so I think he'd be fine with one set.

Alternate faces: Stoic, smirk, nervous, and scared stoic (unless they just wanted to do an alternate, older variant all together which would be FINE by me).

Puar (and an act 4 stage)... two faces would rock (straight/happy) but not necessary. I'm ok with it not being poseable. (If they went with an alternate release of Yamcha, I think a Puar transformed into something would be amazing).

For his hands I'd probably just do fists, fingers spread, and curled fingers for wolf fang.

Good ideal. Using less mainstream characters for sdcc releases. I'm sure these villains and don't hero's have a high demand. I'm thinking that will be perfect for sdcc. What other way is there in getting them out in figure form? Who's knows though, they probably thought about it, but since the line almost dying they tend to just put out the combination of what's the cheapest (same molds) and who's more profitable( character wise). Sad, but understandable. New molds coast more money to make. I mean characters like Android 13, Garlic Jr, Slug, Pikkon and others is a risk move for them and i'm sure the thought is not pleasing to them as well. That could be a double edge sword as well. Playing it safe get's boring, like that Gohan. People will get bored and just skip out on same molded figures.

At this point in time I would say my holy grail would be a Figuarts Bardock just because it seems like it won't be made. Ultimately I would like to have every character featured in this background (and they've already completed a third of the list).

Is that right? Yeah, I remember seeing the first prototype of Android 18 and it's amazing how many upgrades it went through. Super Saiyan 4 Goku looked ready to be packaged with the reveal of that prototype. I have a feeling they've been perfecting it over the past couple of years. The hair is stunningly beautiful. The fur is smoothly added on. I'm loving the torso articulation, too.

Great Saiyaman Gohan's normal hair is different than Ultimate Gohan's hair. Ultimate Gohan's hair is his Super Saiyan 2 hair without the color transformation. As much as I like Great Saiyaman Gohan, I would take Ultimate Gohan over him any day.

They already have the mold for Super Saiyan 2 Great Saiyaman Gohan's hair* (edited), Vegito's arm, gloves, and boots. So it's a couple more steps to Great Saiyaman than before.

What do you think of the Manga Gohan reissue and Vegito?

I am happy with both figures, however Vegito could approach perfection if:

- Airbrushed shading in the "super" hair.
- Belt in another color and...
- The lines on the tips of the boots should be painted.

About Gohan I can not complain, pay $21 dollars for that figure (that got to have crazy prices) is absolutely excellent.

My holy grail is Future Trunks. That figure set a precedent that i doubt will be matched in any future release which is why I just rolled the dice on this:

Im still expecting the box to be replaced and the face to either be removed or changed for sdcc. It makes no sense to spend thousands on a new mold for literally a face and belt for a figure that will probably make them hundreds if they are lucky, judging by how limited he will be. This figure will be repurposed, I guarantee it.
