Hmm I'm still thinking whether or not I'll buy the Datong SDCC Vegeta especially since we've got a bunch of new official figures coming out this year (especially Awakened Goku!). Argghh.. lack of funds is annoying.

I kinda want Datong SDCC Scouter Vegeta... if only I could have him for free

Heard some rumors that CELL will be having a re-issue next year.
I think that Awakened Goku is the best figuarts to date.

Back when it would've taken up a precious release slot, I wouldn't be too excited for this since I think Cell is fine the way he is. Now that we have releases out the ass, it'd be pretty sick to see a bright green Cell. If they can fix his eyes (they won't) that'd be awesome.

Splitting hairs a bit there though.

I had read rumor abo DaTong trying to make Cell and Freiza, but I have read nothing about any advanced reprints outside of the obvious two.

Back when it would've taken up a precious release slot, I wouldn't be too excited for this since I think Cell is fine the way he is. Now that we have releases out the ass, it'd be pretty sick to see a bright green Cell. If they can fix his eyes (they won't) that'd be awesome.

Just got my Perfect Cell in last week and I cannot complain about anything on it. One of my favorite figures.

That's what I'm looking forward to. I think he's the only villain at this point who could actually be given an Advanced Recolor. I doubt it will happen but it would be nice to see the light green and better face paint application.

An Advanced Recolor of Scouter Vegeta may work if it's a darker jumpsuit similar to the Advanced Color Super Saiyan Vegeta. ..It would be ****ing perfect if that Advanced Recolor went a month before or after Nappa.

Nice, where'd you hear that? I'd prefer an Imperfect Cell over a reissue though.

No that is literally the ONLY way bar sdcc repaints that we will ever get reissues of figures in this line apart from the original three. I wasnt saying it will happen, just saying if it does, thats the only way it will, otherwise these "advanced color" figures wouldnt need to exist.

I've seen the "advanced colors" and there's nothing advanced about them. More saturation really... It's simply a way for tamashii to get around their ridiculous exclusive policy. For all intents and purposes vegeta and trunks are reissues.

They shoulda gave Cell saga vegeta a proper release instead of half-assing a repaint of android saga vegeta.

I get that a re issue will have to be an 'Advanced Color' release, but saying that it isn't a reissue is just semantics though. It is effectively a reissue and being a slave to phrasing seems a bit antiquated. Will it be the exact figure, mold wise, yes, but it will have SLIGHT variation on it.

Cell's colours are fine enough, it's his size that now bugs me seeing huge figures. And Buu isn't as big as he should be either, nor was 16. I think they're all protos they had before they kicked the door in with broly. Ive noticed though also with other lines that scale isn't tamashii's strong suit.

Proper scale and lots of accessories. That's the way to my heart.

On a side note, I just ordered three Masters of the Universe Classics figures and I'm just a liiiiiiiiittle bit excited for them to get here next week. They're not as pretty as figuarts but they're good for the price. Speaking of pretty, the more I look at this new battle damaged Goku the more I think it might be tamashii's best dbz mold yet.
