Oh man, Distribuidora Animéxico got their hands on the prototype. They say in the video that the actual figure will be different (better). Dude also says it took Tamashii three years to design this figure.

Awesome review (even if I don't speak Spanish lol) I agree, his colors look way different than what I saw in the displays and in the promo pics. Hmmm isn't it that what they usually review becomes the final product? Wasn't it like that in the past with their review of Broly?

At 5:00 mark, ha! I was right about that swivel, that's a very conveniently added articulation. Finally a truly great goku.
This might become my third fav release (nothing will ever beat trunks and sdcc ssj2 gohan for me, first ones I bought).

Remember guys, the prototypes almost always look better than the finished product. Don't forget manga Goku and SSJ Vegeta with their awesome shading. I pray the finished product doesn't turn out like Vegito's SSJ hair and actually has the shading we've seen.

The hair color looks like they went the same as Vegettos with some shading. Looks like that color will now be the "norm" for the line instead of the pale yellow and ott orange shading. As for the protos looking better, that I expect; what I dont expect is for them to strip him of ALL shading in the skin and gi parts

Even manga Goku has shading on the skin, the back of awakening Goku looks like cheap plastic in honesty! Its way too shiny.

Why can't they just have some consistency? Besides the blatant disregard for scale, the inconsistency is the number one thing that drives me crazy about this line. Pick an SSJ style and stick with it! Same with Goku's gi, every Goku is a different shade of yellow-red. Vegito's hair is the worst imo. No shading and just overall cheap looking. It's an eyesore amongst the likes of the other Saiyans. Shading can make a figure just pop, we neeeeed it

Edit: Having now watched the video, the shading is still there. Looks fine to me. Vegito's had NO shading whatsoever.

TBF to tamashii, the manga and anime themselves change how SSJ looks from saga to saga. Namek/Android saga its very flowy and not defined, Cell saga is gets a bit more definition, and by the Buu saga its very defined with not much actual color differentiation in it. As odd as it looks in figure form they are following the show quite well imo.

In the video they do mention something about the shadows/shading being added to the final product. Maybe there'll be cuts and damage on the skin as well? I hope so!

I'm on the fence about battle damage. Ripped clothing yes, but cuts and bruises almost always come across as cat scratches on figures this size. Even Zero Goku suffers from that from what i've seen.

Doubt it. When Beerus goes for preorder it will be with the galactic patrol dude and SSJGSS Vegeta.

God Goku is now part of BoG and DBS so I wouldn't be surprised if it's the next Goku we get. We could easily get normal, SSJ, SSJ2, and SSJ3 BoG/DBS Goku by simply swapping parts from the Namek Goku and the original Goku mold. I'd hope they give us a skinnier mold for God Goku although I doubt it but they do seem to be giving us more re-tools and new molds than ever before so it just may happen. This is one of the reasons why I wanted multiple SDCC Goku's since it's just belt swaps away from being BoG Goku.

TJ Duckett repainted his Vegetto to have shading and it looked awesome. I'm even considering buying another just to have him shade the hair, if he's willing
