The fact that people are still thinking of getting the original Trunks to compensate for the accessories says a lot,

if people want it that bad so much that they're willing to pay scalper prices, then all they should do is set aside like $20 every week or 2, before you know it you'll have enough to afford one. it may take quite a while, but ayyye

I mean, prices for both Vegeta and Trunks actually dropped, so at some point it may become somewhat reasonable. I wouldn't buy until they are at least under $100 personally

For blood, well the lack of Nappa drove him over the edge.

Guys tamashii is the collectors section of bandai. Their product releases are catered for collectors. They don't consider their exclusives a mass produced readily available product. They consider then collectors items. Now why bandai does things no one really knows.
Megahouse, a subsidiary of bandai is also acting all weird about pop one of their biggest sellers. They don't have the mindset of screwing collectors. They want to make money and they want to keep things different. So when they mean a premium color, they don't want it to be the same identical release as the original. Why who knows. Maybe costs, maybe to differentiate, maybe rights, maybe whatever but they and only they know why they do things the way they do.

Well, that sucks if they really are taking out accessories. I don't really mind since I have the originals already, but I feel like Tamashii just keeps getting lazier and lazier with these figures. Instead of adding a couple more faces or accessories, they take out? And I don't care about those Galick Gun hands, I would've much rather had a flip off hand for Vegeta. Actually, I wish they would've done a Buu Saga Vegeta and a long haired Trunks in armor instead. Everyone would've been happy that way.

After analyzing a bit, I came to the conclusion bandai does this to keep up the exclusivity. Anyone remember the first release editions? For example, sailor moon s.h figuarts comes with extra face and an sticker that says for being first release you got the privilege. Then saint seiya myth cloth also comes with first release bonuses yet fire birth if these lines or figures, there are reissues and without those extras or parts. Now I believe since the trunks was an exclusive, they to keep that exclusivity going, since they don't reissue exclusives and to not lose face with Japanese collectors by starting to do so now, they simply followed the practices they do with figures liked I mentioned above when they reissue which in this case is same figure but different paint.

The thing is, it was clearly marked with Sailor Moon. They advertised it on the web and social media, and even in person at certain stores and conventions. Nothing was mentioned with Trunks.

Sad thing with my original trunks is, I assume having him hold his sword for a while, I tried to remove it from his hand and some of the paint chipped off onto the hand from the sword. :\ I guess that's a defect perhaps? Hopefully fixed with the premium, doubt it.

That's what we were discussing, snake, tamashii has seemingly removed half of Trunks' accessories for the premium release (hands, faces, etc).
