They've been pretty slow with other Figuarts so it wouldn't really surprise me.

Yeah expecially with re-issues. But nice to know they finally getting him now I can get ssj Goku.

So I finally will be able to add manga SSJ Goku to my collection after months and months of waiting from Big Bad Toy Store....

the bluish white electricity would prolly look phat with Figuarts Thor as well

A bob ross meme, amazing!

I stumbled upon this sorting some bookmarks:
Translations | Saiky? Jump (June 2014): "Twel-Buu Mysteries" (Toriyama Q&A)

It's sortof semi-off topic and this interview came past here a while back, but if I'm not mistaken this is legit Toriyama speaking and he says a few of the following things:
– Buu is not made by bibidi, he's eternal pure evil (but purified as Uub).
– Beerus sealed old kai in the sword.
– There are three kaioshins who work in shifts, two of whom we know. And they apparently can grow like plants and make planets. Beerus and fellow GoD's destroy them. They convene every so often.
– And this: "After the fight with Beerus, Goku realized that mastering his normal state and Super Saiyan would raise his level more and sap less strength, so I think he probably won’t become Super Saiyan 2 or 3 any more."

I found it interesting to read with DBS now running, as I personally had forgotten this info. Thought I'd (re)share it...

The most interesting thing to me is that clearly a ssj can be stronger than a ssj 2 or 3, because the form saps strength left over in a lower form. And Toriyama reiterated this idea with Golden Frieza and RoF. I find this interesting, because it definitively breaks the static idea that higher form = more powerful per se, which always lingers over technical debates with this franchise and causes those inconsistencies that are often argued over.

I like it, I like that Toriyama is breaking this linear thing (or squashing the idea that it was the case at all), it deflates some perceived inconsistencies.

I've got a funny little treat for folks for my review this week; Decided to buy what I thought was Datong SDCC Vegeta just so I could review it and actually have a version of it on the shelf (no way in Hell i'm buying the real one, always said i hated the colours and it now costs far too much for me to even consider it), however what I got was the damn unbranded POS figure instead, even though the seller said it was datong in the description. Aliexpress did give me a full refund but I thought I would showcase just how bad it actually is :)

BTW, the thumbnail isnt me being funny, that is actually how it came in the box :lol

Really interesting Sil, I apreciate you going into detail what Toriyama said. :rock

Yikes, that Vegeta really is a piece of ****. Unbelievable how it just fell apart in your hands like that.

Shoddiness all around really. They didn't even include enoughs arms with the stand to hold the blast fx... scumbags indeed. I mean, that figure is trash, theyre relying on deceit to move their product. There are people out there who have gotten this and think it's a legitimate figuart. That's sad.

So much "paint" on Vegeta's face. And in his bum.

Datong is an anomaly in the bootleg world, they really create high quality knockoff stuff and they're so proud of their reproductions (they actually put their company's logo on the box lol) :) One can say they pretty much put heart and soul into each fake toy they create haha :) Comparing Datong to nameless bootleggers is like comparing a crime organization that has access to money slabs and print their own cash versus inexperienced guys who can only photocopy bills and print it on borrowed paper on "draft" setting lol :)

Good review BigDeano hehe :)

Oh man I forgot datong made an SDCC Vegeta. Would be worth it for silliness and stuff, I only want the regular SDCC Vegeta to go with my collection, and to use his extra parts. But his prices suck, I wish I got him when he was cheaper :lol

So my SSJ Goku shipped will post my most recent collection when he gets here.
