Amazing how such a small figure can be more consistent and have more detail than a larger figure

How the **** do they make the colouring of ssgss goku and vegeta's hair so different? One is metallic and one isn't!? Wat?

If I had to choose to either have a new hair sculpt or the consistent hair color, I choose the hair color every time. It just looks so bad. How can Goku have a matte hair color with shading while Vegeta has metallic?!? They're really ****ing up with the SSGSS figures.

It would be completely inaccurate though. I know Tamashii ain't the best but I doubt they would do us dirty like that. This hair mold repainted yellow would be fine as SSJ but not as SSJ2. They have to make a new SSJ2 mold. If this were Vegeta we were talking about, then I could definitely see them giving us his SSJ hair and marketing it as SSJ2

How much do you wanna bet that ssj2 will never be made at all? Because that's what I'm expecting.

Also, if they were to do that, they'd still have to resculpt the front hair piece to the 3-peak ssj2 style. I wouldn't mind it that + a repaint of this, for ssj2 it's actually kinda okay.

But they're not going to. They're rereleasing ssj3 goku, that gives us a glimmer of hope for vegeta in his buu era suit with probably a few faces with and a few faces without the M. I don't see a seperate ssj2 goku happening AT ALL and if buu era vegeta is made at all, I don't see it coming with an entire repainted goku head. Also, the only moment ssj2 goku mattered was versus vegeta, and that fight seems to have no importance whatsoever anymore. Not only did goku already negate its relevance by holding back ssj3 (the whole fight is a sham, that simply is the case, sorry fans...), but any type of rivalry it might've settled is CLEARLY out the window looking at DBS. That fight has absolutely no meaning and it's the only memorable ssj2 goku moment.

Were not gonna see a ssj2 goku and the only reservation to that is adding a front hairpiece for the normal ssj goku with a buu era vegeta. I know it's rubbish to predict stuff, but **** it, still calling this.

The only ssj2 that mattered is cell games gohan and they made that one. I don't see them giving any attention to molding any type of other ssj2 incarnation. A Buu era vegeta is just gonna have the same hair mold vegeta already has. If they're not even remaking it for the new form vegeta has in an entire new series, they won't make a ssj2 mold for a buu era vegeta.

If they do so, well **** me, that's great, but then they really are run by family guy writers, no business coherence whatsoever at that point.

Actually, looking at ssj2 pictures and stills, repainting that ssgss mold and giving a new frontal hair piece would work fine for me. Not that I ever need it. Nor expect it to happen.

If I was Tamashii...I would definitely re-release the SSGSS Goku head mold repainted to yellow with the standard Goku body, throw in some re-painted faces SSJ style and call it Super Saiyan Goku v2. Maybe it could be a future SDCC Exclusive or perhaps the "new" Regular release Super Saiyan Goku.

It captures the "spikier" Super Saiyan hair we saw in later DBZ around the Buu Saga and more of the "current" Toriyama DBZ style we see nowadays.



Added: Just saw the pic of the SSGSS Goku head on the standard Goku body. See? Just slap some yellow paint on it and you have your "modern" SSJ Goku.

Orbital...think you could do a Photoshop of my suggestion if you have the time?

I'm of the same opinion. I'd want them to use the newer sculpt for anything Buu Saga and beyond and use the older sculpt for anything before that. It would capture the change in art style perfectly. Vegeta would obviously have to get the same treatment but as it is now, he's being left out...

I personally hope they redo the SSJ3 hair, Jacksdo's SSJ3 update hair mold is pretty good looking. I'm going to have to look into getting one.

Do it! It's worth it for the smirk alone. Plus, the extra detail on the hair looks great. The only drawbacks are no halo hole and a little less articulation.
