Honestly it's hard to say which Figuart is "more accurate" than another, because pretty much ALL of them are spot-on. Especially Broly, which is arguably their most impressive figure to date. They could've messed him up in so many different ways.

People are still divided on paint application accuracy, but still, you're not finding a better Goku or Gohan figure anywhere else.

Thing is though, that Awakening Goku, despite being "damaged" has zero cuts and bruises. It looks good for what it is, and tbh I hate cat scratches on this size of figure anyway, but a damaged Gohan or Majin Vegeta wouldnt look right without them. Gokus defining features in the Frieza battle werent the blood, it was the hair, but Gohan and Vegeta were the blood.

I actually wouldn't have minded cuts and bruises on Goku. Sucks we didn't get them but it's no biggie. Blood would've been a nice touch too but I don't really remember him being too bloodied up during the fight. Awakened Goku is beautiful as is but personally I would've liked some actual damage on his body. That would've made him perfect.

You're right about Gohan and Vegeta though. They really do need blood in order to really make the look complete but knowing Tamashii they'll simply give us the damaged sculpt and call it a day. It's those small details that would make it look so good but since they forget to do that with so many other figures *coughSSGSSVegetacough* I doubt they'd do it for these, but who knows? Maybe they'll surprise us at the upcoming event with intricate detail for future figures.

With the blood, I can only imagine that's gotta be like "we must keep it PG-13" thing that Tamashii has to adhere to, who knows.

Also with those "blank" Figuarts Orbital posted, Tamashii was prolly like "you want a Yamcha or Tien? Here, make em yourself" lol

I hope this could be a start of a battle damage line, but that's unlikely considering the awakened look is such a crucial look of the Frieza battle.

Apart from simply having to wait for the +/- 5 releases I still want, battle damaged versions is about the only thing that could keep me collecting these long term.

@crisis lol, only thing you have to do is put some orange clothes and some black hair on one of those and then blow it up with firework or something and there's your yamcha.

So far a lot of this new stuff feels like a bad fanfic. Stupid names, lazy transformations, and terrible writing. I'm actually re-watching DB and while it was silly and goofy, the writing was good, the story was solid, and it's a joy to watch. When it had to be serious, it was. I feel DBS is trying to be like a good mixture between DBZ and DB but it's being executed wrong. The concepts presented with multiple universes and gods is good but it's just not playing out like it should. Hopefully it'll pick up somewhere down the line but so far, it's really nothing special.

What I loved from the original Dragonball was Goku's adventures with Bulma and gang. It's not all about the fighting. What I really enjoyed was the interaction of Goku with different people that he met through his journey and the way situations just developed there, whether it was wacky or serious.

I think what's lacking in the current Dragonball Super story is exploration. Exploration opens up new avenues for storylines to develop. Right now, the story's pretty much focused on Earth and obtaining the god level. What seems to be happening after the Golden Frieza part is another typical set-up for more fights, but maybe there will be hope that this would just be a gateway for the entire crew to meet new characters and experience new situations and actually have an adventure rather than a string of battles for the sake of having fight scenes.

I guess one of the problems as to why the story currently seems a bit too boring is that we've already seen the movies, plus Goku and gang don't interact with other humans that much anymore. I remember when the first episode of Dragonball Super aired, I was delighted to see Goten and Trunks exploring the city as well as seeing Goku trying to have a normal job as a farmer. I always thought that maybe, they'll have the chance to go around solving people's problems again or getting into wild but hilarious situations that are touching. Speaking of really cool and emotional moments, I loved that episode where kid Gohan ran away from training, but upon reaching home, he realized that if he didn't fight the bad guys, everyone he cares for would get killed, and so he goes back to train with Piccolo. Those are the types of things that I miss the most.

Anyway I think there's still hope for Dragonball Super. I still like it now, but I hope it gets better soon.

If this is what it's gonna be, than my interest in DBS is highly trivial. If DBZ had any reason to have more content, it shouldn't be with the most stupid simple plot excuses to get battles. This **** feels like it's written by a 14 year old. Clearly dbz isn't popular for its writing, but good lord, db and dbz were not like this.

it's still early stages, so I might be pleasantly surprised later, but I've set my expectations at 5%. Also funny how RoF was clearly NOTHING but an advertisement.

y'all *****s will finally have to come to accept that DBS wont provide anything new or ground breaking stuff. db and dbz were simple animes that you could miss out a few eps and you'd still be able to follow the story without missing too much and so is DBS (stop trippin on nostalgia). the series had their fair share of flaws too despite being simple. it's called Drag ON-ball by the haters for a reason.
i can assure you to stop watching dbs until some people start talking that it's getting good and you'll be able to pick it up from there with no problems. either you didn't miss anything big or if you did , it'll most likely get a flashback or whole lot of dialogue inbetween the battle that will retell it all what you missed which sucks for the people who already saw it and it's still fresh in the mind that'll just make you go "OH SHUT UP AND FIGHT ALREADY" which dbz had, alot.....

most if not all of the new animes with db(Z) inspired have surpassed their forefather.

It's actually 2 business day shipping thru EMS if you order on the weekday. Only thing is nippon-yasan sells at full retail price with no discount. Amiami had a really good deal on SS Goku Awakening version when it was up for preorder a few months ago. I never got charged for customs when I ordered thru nippon-yasan last time.

I'm still waiting for nippon-yasan to ship my SSGSS Goku and Golden Freeza. They're still prepping my orders right now.

Ems shipping is oddly more expensive if ordering from nippon-yasan. It wasn't that pricey when I choose the ems option at hlj and amiami. Sucks that hlj and amiami don't carry web exclusives.

I don't order my Figuarts from Japanese sites but in my experience for other figures they're an absolute joy. EMS is a thing of the gods. Everything arrives in perfect condition and insanely fast. Not to mention with the Japanese currency plummeting there's some great deals to be had. Nippon is the BBTS of the Japanese sites imo since they're usually the most expensive and kinda overrated but besides that I've only heard good things.

That's cuz nippon-yasan and bandaionline.com are the only 2 known Japanese sites that sell Bandai web exclusive figures internationally. Beware of bandaionline.com though. While they sell at decent prices, I've had a bad experience with them. I bought sh figuarts Hulk from them once and the box came kinda damaged.

I have to agree with you. Also I would like to add, is that is one of the reasons why some folks aren't digging Super yet is because it's in the process of retelling the movies with a couple of new things in between to bridge the gap. Not much in new content I get it. Im enjoying it for the stuff in between like the first 3 episodes of Super, and the next few leading up to ROF. If people aren't digging it for now, just wait until the retelling of ROF is done, then come back. Why put yourself through something that you generally know the outcome of, might as well come back later.

Nipon is meh, I tried using them for AoU War Machine, got so much ****. Made a mistake with how I ordered, they wouldn't fix, had to use Paypal, etc. Such a mess. They're like BBTS, but you get no real hassle from them.
