Off topic but just saw Star Wars.

Luke looking REALLY old. He's got that Obi Wan thing going but time has not been nice to him. Still, that was an epic moment even though he had zero lines. Rey was amazing. Her acting was excellent and I really enjoyed her character. Also she fine as hell. Finn was great too. Really funny and likeable. We all know him and Rey are getting together eventually. Didn't expect Han to die. It was sad but necessary. Kylo's trying to really convert himself fully to the darkside and he let go of the one thing that was really holding him back. Now if he's able to confront his mother is another story.

Speaking of Kylo...damn was he cool...until he removed his helmet. I don't think Adam really fits who Kylo was. When we first meet him, he's a badass, hardcore mofo that's crazy powerful. Btw, the beginning of the movie was epic. Is it just me or did Kylo look like he was gonna cry every time they showed his face? That being said, Kylo was a pretty cool character and I like how he's torn between both the dark and light, although he's pretty much full on dark side for the most part. VERY interesting villain and I loved him from the very beginning. Really can't wait to have the figure in hand.

Captain Phasma. Disappointing...so far. I doubt we've seen the last of her but her role was so minuscule compared to how she was marketed. The way she was promoted was that she was gonna actually do something. Luke had more of an impact than she did and he said nothing. Her design is awesome but I'm really hoping she has a bigger role in the future films.

I really don't get how Rey knew Jedi mind tricks. She thought the Force was a legend and she randomly knows one of the best tricks in the book? I get that she's powerful but idk. Also, it was hard to believe how an expertly skilled saber and force user like Kylo was able to be taken down by two people who had never used light sabers before. Sure he was injured but he should've been able to easily defeat them.

While certain things were headscratchers and the movie wasn't perfect by any means, it was awesome. I can't wait to see the next two movies. This was merely a reintroduction into Star Wars and leaves many questions that will hopefully be answered in the future. Some great notalgia, awesome characters, and solid action.

i pretty much agree with ur points but perhaps i can put your mind at ease with the Kylo/Rey duel. keep in mind that he's also inexperienced too. Not so much as Rey but Kylo hasn't been exactly dueling with any other Jedi prior, because there ARE no other Jedi, or at least, no other Jedi with lightsabers. So he was caught off guard with Rey who is obviously a natural prodigy Jedi, whereas he dominated Finn (also Rey was pretty much fleeing the entire fight, it wasn't until she was "backed in a corner" when she struck back at him heavy). Remember, upon hearing of what happened at Starkiller Base, Snoke told Hux to retrieve Kylo so he can "complete his training." hopefully this explanation can smooth things out a bit lol. he is still in conflict with the light and dark sides within himself, he's still not 100% evil despite wanting to be.

Lupita Nyongo's character I forget her name, is obviously the new "Yoda" and I can't wait till they reveal how in the hell Anakin's old lightsaber is still intact, to which she said "a question for another time." They knew all of us would have questions so they gotta keep us guessing which is great. Snoke is the most mysterious character thus far, a lot of criticisms about him but I thought it would be cool & unique to have a friggin gigantic intelligent character in Star Wars, so I was somewhat disappointed to see that instead of being this menacing 25ft tall practitioner of the darkside, it was just a hologram LOL. oh well. I don't think he's Darth Plagueis but we shall see

Cap'n Phasma is being set up to be the new improved "Boba Fett" and she will have her time to shine, mark my words. Kinda like how Boba was originally in A New Hope but was cut; he didn't do squat in that scene, he was just there to look cool & mysterious. Same with Phasma's role in this movie.

Also loved how they aren't completely ignoring the prequels; little nods to those events are in this film such as them considering using clones and the new Yoda mentioning the Sith by name. Despite peoples valid opinions on those films it's still ALL canon, as it should be and this movie acknowledges this

I still feel Rey shouldn't have defeated Kylo like that. He was trained under Luke and the power he demonstrated beforehand was incredible. I know they're trying to make Rey the next legendary Jedi and all but it was just too unbelievable for me. Either way, I accept it and upon watching the movie a second time I may be able to rationalize it better.

Snoke was quite unexpected especially in his size. Hell he may not even be that big and it's just the hologram but if he is, i wonder how a final fight would look like.

I actually liked the PT. I feel it added more depth to the universe and to Darth Vader's character. I never thought they'd ignore it since like you said, they are canon and it would be a hell of a lot of material to retcon. I will say Episode 1 was the worst movie in the franchise (except for Maul and Qui Gon).

I really can't wait for Episode 8. Kylo is absolutely fascinating even if his actor doesn't really match the badass image I had of him before the unmasking. Now he's got a scar so that'll add to his mystique at least in the physical sense. Kylo is what I'm REALLY looking forward too. Phasma will definitely be back, I have no doubt either. It was just that she was overhyped so it was a bit of a letdown when she turned out to be useless. We shall see what became of her in a mere 17 months lol

I actually started reading the star wars spoilers, figuring "**** it, I like the series and all but don't care to see it in thearters", got halfway through Prodigy's impressions and kind of wish I hadn't. Now I'll be waiting for events in the film.

I do appreciate the use of spoiler tags though gents! :D

Watch it dude. It's actually really well done. While it's not perfect (none of them are) it's still an excellent film and addition to the series. I feel like I have to watch it again to really digest it all but overall it was quite satisfying.

Omg that 'sag' remark! :rotfl damn... Harsh.

Thanks Raditz!

Jaco: “Haha, I’ll show you just how smart this guy is. Lord Zuno, what is the bust size of this Earthling named ‘Bulma’?”
Zuno: “83.4 centimeters. Previously it was 87.2 centimeters, but she’s started to sag a bit.”
Bulma: “…!”
Jaco: “So, is he right? He's right, isn't he?”
Bulma: “Shut up!!”
Aide: “And does the saggy-breasted lady have a question as well?”

I can't.

by the way

was one of the planets Starkiller Base blew up Coruscant? It kinda looked like it was but not 100% sure. If so then that's kinda a big deal since Coruscant was pretty much the "capital" planet of the Star Wars galaxy. General Hux did say they would eliminate the remaining of the Republic, so it would make sense for them to destroy Naboo, etc. since that was what those planets stood for in the prequels

Looked it like. Yeah, I thought so. I guess the First Order isn't set up there.

EDIT: Upon looking it up, yeah, Ang, you're right.

If it's available, you have to pay extra for "collector" version.

Are you serious? Is that how BBTS operates? If so, that is kind of screwed up.
Btw, who else preordered Golden Frieza from them? When did preorders start filling for this guy? It just dropped for me, but Pparently others got theirs a while back

i'm more mad at the fact with all those new Goku prototypes recently shown, not ONE was of SSj2. really considering making my own at this point

I can't see Tamashii NOT having that sculpt done already. I'm sure they're saving it for when they reveal their Majin Vegeta prototype. I'm hoping they're going back to the workshop and implementing a torso/hip articulation similar to SWA Goku and SS Trunks. I would just like to finally have an updated detailed Vegeta hair sculpt. They can do it on the Figuarts Zero and Figuarts Zero EX but not the SHF? I just don't get it.

I'm sure once they get back to the Buu Saga, that's when we'll see SSJ2 along with Buu Saga Vegeta. I still think they're saving Majin for a battle damage version but I'll take anything at this point as long as it's Vegeta in that blue jumpsuit. At least we've got SSJ3 Vegeta to learn ok forward too so it can be a placeholder until the proper one comes out.

I agree, I've been thinking about that lately. I believe the demand for battle damaged has never been higher after everybody has seen how well it was done on SWA Goku. Majin Vegeta would be a great contender for their next project.

Wow, I'm loving that Figuarts Zero EX. It might just be me but that looks a little like a Super Saiyan 2 hair mold for Vegeta.

Awesome pictures! Thanks for posting them from that website, Orbital!

As for the Star Wars off-topic, it was fantastic. I wish J.J. Abrams would take over the new trilogy but still looking forward to what Rian Johnson and Colin Trevorrow have in store. It's funny to see how many people are noticing the S.H. Figuarts line now. Luckily most of them are regular releases. Tamashii is going to get a lot of money out of that line.

I don't believe so. It was where the New Republic was formed. Hosnian something.

I think they'll be way too big to fit on the PC body. This Trunks has a much more muscular physique and is taller too. If they ever release a PC Scouter Vegeta, that'd be the ticket

Since it's a new mold, you're right. And I hate you now as a result :(
Dragonball Z used for commercialized Ford Focus advertisement? We're in there!

"And apparently, this is happening." - Lord Frieza
haha sorry crisis i just wanted to put prodigy at ease.

@prodigy youre welcome, i was pretty sure it was at the end but i had to find picture proof so that you wouldnt have to suffer the "5 minute" fight!:rotfl
You trolled crisis, hard. Well done!

The was the 1st time I ever watched the tracking for a import, my PCE Vegetas sat at LA Airport customs for a whole ****ing week . Next time, I'm going to order them, forgot about it and then be surprised that I ordered a package like I've done in the past.

I thought it was Dragonball spoilers :gah:

Edit: Why are you talking about Star Wars in here :gah:

Don't you know the nature of these forums, one comment about an off topic situation spirals out of control.

You should see the figure forums for TFA, has nothing about figures but opinions on the movie even though there is a general movie dicussion thread :lecture
