I forgot to mention my Awakening Goku shipped from Kappa Hobby on Friday and is now in the UK!

Not sure if he'll arrive before Christmas but I feel excited enough to do this all day now.



Fingers crossed, next year we could all be waiting to receive our Nappa, Majin Vegeta, Tien and farmer Goku figures from Tamashii Nations after they officially put them up for pre-order next year! You have have faith!

Too optimistic? Well at least one of those figures is more likely to get a release than all the others combined. Can you guess which one?

It's coming along really well. It'll be interesting to see what kind of, if any, shading will be done to the finished product. Imagine how amazing this would have looked with the striations in the hair.

For real. It pains me that Vegeta got shafted so badly. He needed that updated sculpt and this was the time to do it! There's still time but at most they'll just make his hair match Goku's. That seems to be the best we can hope for at this point. Aside from the hair, the rest of the figure is freaking perfect. I really can't wait for next year. So much epicness coming our way.

For real. It pains me that Vegeta got shafted so badly. He needed that updated sculpt and this was the time to do it! There's still time but at most they'll just make his hair match Goku's. That seems to be the best we can hope for at this point. Aside from the hair, the rest of the figure is freaking perfect. I really can't wait for next year. So much epicness coming our way.

Let's hope that a Buu Saga/Majin-Vegeta will feature some updated parts.

That would also be a prime time to make some new sculpts. I'm not a huge fan of his DBS armor and look so I can get by with them re-using the old sculpts, because they are extremely well done.

However, Majin-Vegeta should be mostly all new. In fact, they can use some of the new Trunks parts (like his lower body and arms, just paint them skin-tone) with a new torso and head sculpt.

A new body Goku in SSJ2 would be an awesome pairing.

Super Warrior Awakening Goku* PROVES that it's a possibility now. It's up to Tamashii to decide on producing a figure that represents their high standard in quality and this would be the prime example for them to continue that reputation.

The head is the same it's just that they sculpted new faces, and since typically they do vegeta's faces with hair spikes the four hair spikes on the faces are also new which gives the illusion of a slightly new head altogether, but it's just the faces and hair spikes that are attached to it. The thing that bugs me the most though is that they did not include a normal head with him, i have a spare one anyway but goku got one so vegeta should have gotten one too.

The first spike to the right of the face that's attached to the head appears to be different. Similar to Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku, Tamashii took the spikes and "bent" them to have a more upward feel to them rather than an outward pattern. ...Well, actually, it may just be that one but it's attached to the head. I could be wrong but the lighting seems to show the new angle that doesn't show on the Premium Color edition.

How long does it take for Toyzinthebox to process an order of something that is already in Stock? Ordered Regular Goku yesterday.

In my experience they are pretty quick. However since it is the week of Christmas, they may take a day or two more than usual. I received my SWA Goku from them 4 or 5 days after I ordered it. Back in October my girl ordered a couple of the Mario figuarts and we got them in two days.

That's exactly what I was thinking and while I don't mind the body, we'll once again be left with a Vegeta with innacurate boot tips. I just want ONE release to come with striped tips (not counting SSGSS of course). He either gets no tips or innacurate ones, it sucks.

The only way I see us getting the real tips that would be compatable with the other releases is if they make a battle damaged Majin. They're going for more accuracy and especially with that type of release, so they'll most likely carve the tips in then, although who really knows at this point. Please Tamashii

As for SSJ2, something like that would be perfect with the shading of Awakening Goku of course and different face plates.

The color scheme is BoG-esque, though it looks much more dark blue like the anime. Face needs work yeah, meh. The hair...that's strange, it is spikier like SS2 but the base says Super Saiyan, dunno.

None of the upcoming figures except for PC Trunks, PC Vegeta, and SSGSS Vegeta are web exclusives

I have a feeling most (if not all) new releases from now on will be standards while the PC's will remain Web Ex. SSGSS Vegeta was part of RoF so he still fell under Web Ex like Goku and Frieza did.
