Lol oh no

If it does end up being buu saga ss vegeta, that means Majin Vegeta could either end up being next years sdcc or possibly a battle damaged majin vegeta

I hope Tamashii wouldn't be that inconsiderate with Majin Vegeta by making it the SDCC Exclusive. That would be a ****storm they do not want on their hands. It'll be interesting to see if it's a Buu Saga Vegeta because that leaves the question would Tamashii use that same sculpt for a Majin Vegeta in the future? They haven't been able to do that with either Super Warrior Awakening Goku or Super Saiyan Future Trunks because they're very accurate to that look.

Which makes me think, does anybody know an iconic picture of Manga Super Saiyan Vegeta?

If it were to be an sdcc exclusive they would definitely reuse the same mold like they have always done with sdcc exclusives, only difference will be adding the m on his forehead and possibly add veins to his arms

Edit: The only sdcc that wasn't a retool was gohan, he was I believe a completely new figure

I know the same argument could have been said about Frieza Saga Goku but I can't imagine Tamashii limiting their profit to have a SDCC Majin Vegeta Exclusive. (Unless it's different coloring from the actual Majin Vegeta release.) Didn't Adam Newman even say that he knows everybody has been very vocal about wanting that release?

The only SDCC that was a retool was Frieza Saga Goku. So they've already set that precedent where any future SDCC Exclusive can be a slight retooling and, going along with your theory, putting an "M" on a forehead would easily fit that. I just really hope they don't.

I highly doubt they would make possibly their most wanted figure an sdcc though, so no need to worry

Seems to me it's just a fansite making random predictions so I'll take that with a grain of salt.

If it is Buu OR Cell saga Vegeta, I expect to see a slight retooling of the new Armored Trunks body or perhaps a completely new mold based on that body. The Saiyan Armor Trunks body honestly looks a little too tall for Vegeta's proportions.

For an Majin Vegeta he would almost have to have some Battle Damaged... But would love for them to go all out with the torn leg battle damaged like they did with Awakening Goku

I do too but, after Frieza Saga Goku, I sadly wouldn't put it past them.

Yeah, it would be a retooling because they would have to scale everything down. I would rather have something more "fresh" than a scale down so I'm leaning towards Buu Saga Vegeta.

I honestly expect a very similar design to whoever made this amazing sketch of Majin Vegeta.

If this new sculpt is Buu Saga Super Saiyan Vegeta then a battle damaged release for Majin Vegeta would be the best of both worlds. Along with the battle damage, you would be able to display Majin Vegeta in a clean suit for when he first transformed.

I finally got shelves and got them up! Not much in them currently, but putting them up and cleaning up was a bit much for tonight.

Trying to put together Batman and the Joker on top, found out the hard way that their articulation is horrible. I ended up snapping Batman's waist! So frustrated with that figure. The jokers legs don't even move from his waist, only at the knees apparently. Learned my lesson before I moved on to him. /sigh

Sorry to hear that Rabbit, I watched some of the reviews on the DC Direct Batman Animated Series figures and saw they were plagued with quality control issues.

Too bad. They look fantastic..

To quote Tyler Durden from the classic Fight Club, "Hey man, even the Mona Lisa's falling apart."

Heres a thought, what if that ssj Vegeta release is regular buu saga vegeta with awakening articulation and the SDCC is a retool version majin Vegeta with battle damage? I hate to think like that, but with the way the leak said alot of us would hate the reveal and it would be a villian (which majin Vegeta technically was) unfortunately makes sense...

That looks great Angelo! Though the forearms are way too short.

It does! It's somebody else's sketch and I could have sworn they were on this forum. It gives you an idea on what a possible 2.0 Vegeta would look like and I think it looks amazing.

Majin Vegeta won't be the 2016 SDCC Exclusive. :wink1:

I don't believe they would do drastic retools for SDCC Exclusives. With Namek Goku, a precedent was set, yes, but it wasn't really a retool; all it had was a new belt & face, which probably cost them a few cents to produce. If anything that's what we'll get in future SDCC's, the same exact figure but with an added accessory or 2.

For all we know this year's exclusive could be Beerus but with a slightly darker paintjob & an Oracle Fish add-on, or a plate of sushi.

Oh god damn it. However, I still haven't gotten my regular version in yet....
