I think it's a combination of long legs and long neck ):
Alot has went down during my absence. No super hair? That sucks. Wasnt he way bulkier when he was in Super form anyhow? Probably the reason why Tamashii has lefted out the hair, it doesnt fit the figure.
Vegetas cross arms looks absurd. How long will they pretend this pathetic attempt of cross arms besides molding some?

The actual design of the no ponytail hair was from him fighting cell jrs, he didnt go ascended for that fight. I agree with Psycho that they are likely keeping it for a future release like the Krillin head with #18.

Yep it's pretty much an given that it will come with the new vegeta now... I really can't see them making an bulky Trunks the size of Broly....

It may just be the design because they're no longer than they've been since he was shown.
Did we though? Bandai never made a statement saying that it would be included and it was never shown in the product photos. I don't really see them doing anything wrong in this case.

They still shouldn't have put it on their display, knowing that the consumers would inevitably notice it. Keep that locked up at Tamashii HQ, we don't wanna see it if you don't wanna release it :/
