raditz is a bit out of scale

Too bad I wasn't into the Banpresto statue figures when Whis came out, I might actually prefer that over the S.H. Figuarts version.

Thanks for posting the pictures! What do you think of the SCultures Nappa? These photos are convincing me to finally pull the trigger and order Nappa. He'll go great with SDCC Arlia Vegeta. Did you use something to keep Nappa upright or is he a well balanced figure?

Raditz is a bit out of scale but the sculpt work on the figure is unbelievable. SCultures can be a hit or miss for me but, when they're a hit, they're amazing products.

he's not well balanced, he's either resting against the arm of vegetas stand or the wall

The Tamashii Nations Dragon Ball Z S.H. Figuarts line is fueled by both the Western and Japanese markets at the moment. I'm guessing Tamashii Nations wants to "officially" reveal them at Japanese events. ...Which, come to think about it, isn't much of a difference to how other releases have been revealed. Maybe they want to keep the Japanese market at the forefront for new reveals. I think the Figuarts Zero EX Character Category is mostly Western market though so that was allowed to be revealed at SDCC. I know Super Saiyan 3 Goku Figuarts Zero EX was revealed at NYCC 2014.

It's a strange situation. I don't know if Tamashii Nations is trying to pretend that Tien and Yamcha were never shown at SDCC and they're expecting to make a grand reveal at Tamashii Nations 2016? It was a mistake that they were displayed at SDCC but, it's not like Bigfoot, we know they exist.

This activity demonstrates to me that there is caution on Tamashii's side...as if they're not fully sure whether they intend to release them or not.

Bluefin is well aware that the Western market is more critical of Tamashii's proto-trolling behavior, as some uneducated fans always attack Bluefin for not releasing figures or endless bashing them with questions (when we know its really Bandai-Tamashii). It could be that since Tamashii has not 'officially' told Bluefin that they plan on releasing Tien and Yamcha so Bluefin took some preemptive measures while the big wigs and decision-makers in Japan sort it out. They decided to pull the figures since there wasn't any sort of commitment on their part to "address" them...though it's a little too late as pictures leaked out.

That being said...that's all a conspiracy and general thoughts. It could be very much like SWA Goku where Tamashii wants to have a GRAND DEBUT at an Asian/Japanese event back home. Which then begs to ask...why did Tamashii give Bluefin prototype samples so early then?

Oh well...time will tell!

I'm not necessarily convinced that it demonstrates caution on whether or not Tamashii Nations is invested with Yamcha and Tien. The prototypes were made with up-to-date 2.0 articulation. I can't imagine they would invest the time and resources to develop a prototype that incorporated it and still be unsure of eventually releasing them.

Tamashii Nations shares a booth with Bluefin at San Diego Comic Con and New York Comic Con. All the prototypes that were shown and revealed were all property of Tamashii Nations that brought them from Japan to display at the Bluefin/Tamashii Nations booth. (They weren't on loan to Bluefin, the only displays Bluefin have are products that have already been released.) For some reason, the higher-ups at Tamashii Nations in Japan decided last second that they didn't want Tien and Yamcha to be displayed.

It would have been interesting to see how it all played out if Tien and Yamcha weren't displayed mistakenly in the first place and d_amazing didn't create that post about seeing them. (I don't think Bandai cared for the statement he made since he isn't an official representative of the company.) I could see Bandai Tamashii Nations taking them away since they weren't able to reveal them on their own time which is understandable.

Man I really like that SDCC Broly... I wish i'd known about it sooner. I see it's not cheap... I passed on the original Broly when i seen it at Barns and Noble awhile back because I didn't like that his hair didn't have the green hue. Might have to bite the bullet for this guy before it goes up even more.

Just bought Broly on BBTS. I told myself I wouldn't buy him right now, but seeing him in stock made me pull that trigger.

Just been informed that my good friend on here actually managed to get another SDCC Broly for me, didnt even realize he was doing so! Very grateful for that, wasnt expecting to be able to get this one and had honestly reserved myself to that fact :p

So now that we have a Goku, Trunks, Vegeta, and Gohan announced, who else believes Piccolo will be next? If so, which "reference" will they be taking for inspiration?

I'm really hoping for anime colors. Super Saiyan (2) Son Gohan having anime colors was a surprise so I think Piccolo will be given the same treatment.

Looking forward to the review! (I know you didn't mention one but hoping you make one. :lol)

my display of figuarts

You my man, need to take a break from buying figures and spent some fine money on some replacements for those brown shipper boxes. Can I suggest to look up acrylic brigdes, stairs displays? Or are you planning to create something yourself?

yeah, love how you have everything seperated by saga with vanilla poses at the front and one of the more memorable fights of each saga at the back.
it's really a neat way of displaying things

you can easily defeat crisis display if you can find something to replace the BSB's >_>
