my thoughts on Suicide Squad

i give the film a solid 7/10. enjoyed it, but it feels like there's a lot of deleted scenes. blood is right in that it's a rollercoaster movie. very stylized & colorful. the villain(s) was typical "humans are not worthy so they all must be destroyed" cliche. great chemistry between all the actors. With Joker, if you never liked his look/performance from the previews then your opinion prolly isn't going to change. I feel like he was an amalgam of all the other Jokers we've seen thus far. He's utterly obsessed with Harley, and vice-versa. Harley as expected, they nailed 100%. Margot Robbie was born to play her. Killer Croc and the samurai didn't really need to be there. Viola Davis kills it as Amanda Waller. Enchantress was creepy as ****. but like i said the only reason i give it a 7/10 is because it feels like there was scenes missing.

I just got SDCC Broly yesterday and I love him, but as soon as I took it out of the box I noticed that there were lines across his chest. Broly Seam Side.jpgBroly Seam Front.jpg
Part of the molding process? They appear on both sides and are symmetrical. It doesn't bother me that much, but does anyone else have these markings?

His mouth looks like this

:lol

Come on, now. It's not that bad. I honestly don't think it looks all that different from the source material. I'm sure it would look better up close.

I really enjoyed the movie. It was very character driven and did a great job of giving the feel as a shared universe.

If you're interested, here's an article about rumored deleted* scenes. https://comicbook.com/2016/08/06/suicide-squad-rumored-list-of-deleted-scenes-revealed/

Some of them are from the trailers that have been shown. #6 and #13 are my favorite with #22 being really bad. If I had to choose between including those scenes or leaving them out, I would have left them out because of how uncharacteristic #22 would have been.

what makes 22 so uncharacteristic?

So the new Super Saiyan Vegeta is a re-do rather than being Super Vegeta? Even though the accessories and stock photos are from his Super Vegeta transformation? Hmm...

Because Harley Quinn is in an abusive relationship with The Joker. He was always Harley's 1st priority throughout the movie. There was no development that she wanted to break away from that relationship and stay with her friends. Even her "desired" dream was to have a normal life with The Joker. She only continued with the team because she thought he was dead. If she found out that he was alive during the subway scene, she would have been thrilled that he was alive and left with him similar to final scene.

Am I the only one who prefers the face shown in the video over the stock photo? The one shown in the video resembles the source material a lot better than the stock photo.

I do Ang. I feel as though when the tampagraph is done correctly it can capture the anime look more than painting it. Honestly as I said the only issue I have with it is the eyes seem a little too far apart, but other than that I expected the changes, and honestly it looks better.

I mean it's not AWFUL (except for Morty's mouth between his eyes). I like the figure especially that the hair color is consistent with the SWA Goku and Armored Trunks. I don't like the amount of sculpted detail lost when compared to the promo pics. I understand it was a prototype but they really muted a lot of the details on the final product. Mainly the lines above/between his eyebrows but also the sculpted lines in his hair and around his mouth. I mean...

Those missing details really make the character. Like I said, I still like the figure but this is a perfect example of how much detail is lost on the final product. I hope it's "just the light" that makes it appear that the detail has been lost but I'm very doubtful about that.

I don't mean to be rude, but I like that you picked the literal worst looking picture of Super Vegeta for this comparison.

Hahaha yes, but it's the one directly from the anime of the specific scene that figure is based on.

have you ever been in an abusive relationship yourself? what she saw was an eye opener for her. it's her desire, a dream. a dream she realize will never come true... because the joker is not a family guy... so it would totally made sense to ditch him. hell, in scene 21 he even pushed her off. making her realise it more that he doesn't love her and she's a toy for his ego.

the only person thats uncharactisicily in the movie is the joker himself, he's going totally out of his way to save her? what?

I would've liked those scenes added, I would've loved it when the joker showed up with his burned face saying those things, she would walk up to him and make out and end with biting his lips viciously, it would turn on the Joker more but then she freaking hits him with her bat, totally knocking him out. "that's for pushing me off the helicopter" she walks back to the group and deadshot gives a comment which she replies with "well, i'm full of surprises" and then miller calls for some back up to lock the joker up. then the enemy gets defeated, maybe instead of harley wishing the joker back to life, she would wish that he would turn into the man of her desire. we then get the ending scene with the joker locked up close to her, yelling at her and she just sits there, ignoring him while drinking her capoccino

so are you saying dbz had quality drops just like super has?

im sorry, i know we are long passed over this xD

Ugh...it certainly looks like the sample that Ani-mexico got has a different and crappier face mold from the original prototype.

I prefer the original and like the added sculpt of the brow...drawing it in just looks lazy and sub-par. What a cop-out by Tamashii to do something like that.
