I do Ang. I feel as though when the tampagraph is done correctly it can capture the anime look more than painting it. Honestly as I said the only issue I have with it is the eyes seem a little too far apart, but other than that I expected the changes, and honestly it looks better.

I think so, too. The prototype was really nice but this gives me more of an anime feel and I prefer that. I'm interested to see what it'll look like in person without the lighting.

Hahaha yes, but it's the one directly from the anime of the specific scene that figure is based on.

If you want a reference photo, I provided one earlier that the final product resembles arguably more so than the prototype. (Edited: It's not from the anime but from the manga.)

They mention in the video that it's referenced as a Super Saiyan Vegeta 2.0 but Tamashii Nations based the design, accessories, and photos around Super Vegeta. They're basically opening the door for any past release to receive a 2.0 treatment. Which is also seen in the case of Super Saiyan (2) Son Gohan. It's labeled the same as the original regular Manga release but it's a different design. I have a feeling we're going to see a Super Saiyan Goku soon along with Piccolo.

will be sad, to see they make a 2.0 sdcc gohan for example. My opinion is to make only the figures who really need and the new ones have the new technology already. All the Gokus that have already out and make all again 2.0? sdcc broly 2.0 too? everything? i not agree. Just figures who really need and the new ones, nothing more.

Not all of the Goku releases but I'm sure the most iconic and popular ones. Broly is already a 2.0, he was ahead of his time for this line. I don't imagine everything receiving a 2.0 update other than the ones that Tamashii Nations decides, which will make them money, or the collectors demand.

i dont think a 2.0 ssj 3 would look THAT good honestly lol Maybe the promo shots but the final product i dont think so. Although awakening goku and trunks came out pretty close to the shots im sad vegeta gets kind of shafted again. Reminds me of how excited i was with ultimate gohan's promo shots only to be disappointed that they botched his faces. The neutral face is okay, screaming face is most accurate but the smirky face (which was my most anticipated) came out the worse (with his eyes too far apart and like vegeta missing stuff like brow detail etc).

I do agree that a 2.0 ssj2 goku would be nice (especially if they design him on his battle damage look from when he was fighting majin vegeta). As for an updated ssj1 goku I think figurise standard is okay (although too big, strangely enough) or just repainting an SSB head and using either the OG SDCC goku body or the normal goku body. I still have plans to try that myself, just havent worked myself up to it yet haha

We need a non-battle damaged Goku body with the updated articulation. I honestly don't think it would be bad for Tamashii Nations to release the body under a Super Saiyan Goku label with the Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan hair painted yellow and an added Super Saiyan 2 head sculpt.

Edited: A newer head sculpt and faces, similar to the regular Goku, Trunks, and Vegeta releases, would make Super Saiyan 3 Goku stand out really well.

We're finally getting Vegeta 2.0, so it's only natural they'll eventually do Goku.

Which 2.0 redos would you like to see, Bardoon? As much as I want this line to progress with newer, fresher characters, I can't help but immensely enjoy these newer 2.0 releases.

It is interesting to point out that it will be at least 15 months between S.H. Figuarts Goku releases. Since he is the best selling character of the line, Tamashii Nations may be currently working on a 2.0 for a big reveal at Tamashii Nations 2016 in October. (Along with Tien, Yamcha and hopefully Piccolo.)

No way thats super vegeta. It may be a failed attempt though because it looks more like a regular ssj vegeta post htc. I guarantee if you ask anyone who doesnt collect figuarts, would say its a regular ssj Vegeta.

I'm fairly certain it was meant to be super vegeta (also pretty sure we all had this discussion awhile ago too haha) they even attampted to make him look bulkier by using SWA goku shoulders. I mean yes he's not as buff as we would all want and his hair isnt as spiky or detailed but it is based on that appearance of vegeta, it even has the face and hand parts for that pose. I guess like solidsnakeboss is saying, it's a "failed attempt". Still a good figure though, so it's essentially a "super vegeta inspired" super saiyan vegeta figure lol

I dont mind though since these 2.0 releases are regular releases, people will not have to pay ridiculous amounts for a definitive ssj vegeta.
