i kind of thought it was future goku, like he used the super dragonballs to summon him and switch bodies and killed him afterwards, which would explain why there was never any contact from goku from other world in trunks' timeline. I think it was mentioned in buu saga where if someone is already dead and is killed again in the other world their soul is permanently destroyed (i believe it was when vegeta was fighting kid buu) and I'm theorizing that zamzu/black never made a move on trunks' world till later because at first androids were killing everyone, and then there was hope that babidi and dabura would continue the destruction, then when all that didnt pan out he stepped in. Also it's expected that future goku would contact king kai after dying and he would go on all sorts of adventures in the other world and somehow end up meeting zamasu as well. Well that's my theory anyway lol ofcourse i may be giving them too much credit and your conclusion is actually the right one (more simple), although i would like mine to be true since it would explain goku's absence from the future
 
They shoulda just had Zamasu possess another super-powerful Saiyan from Universe 6 and leave it at that. why make things needlessly over-complicated

I don't think any amount of explaining will make it make sense to me. I'll just accept it for whatever it is and enjoy it like I have been.

Correct. If an already dead person dies again, they no longer exist as Goku stated. Meaning if Vegeta died before he was revived a second time in the Kid Buu fight, he'd be gone for good and nothing could be done to bring him back. If he died after the second revival, he would still exist and could probably be back again. But I don't know if you could swap bodies with someone who is dead...I was pretty certain Goku Black was a body swap/possession case, but this is sort of out of hand with another timeline. How does Zamasu have the ability to swap bodies? Plus I think filler showed a dead Captain Ginyu back in his own body or something, meaning if Goku died after the swap, he'd be back...unless both swapees have to be dead.
** haven't watched much of Super, so I don't care for spoilers with something I already predicted. But that means I don't know much on the actual plot beyond reading synopsis. I wonder if the Super Dragon Balls could be used to revive everyone in Future Trunk's timeline though?

Or maybe he could have been wished into a Saiyan. This is so Toriyama...also Deano mentioned using the Super Dragon Balls to bring back everyone in Future Trunks's timeline. I think at this point, since Future Trunks has no one but Mai, he deserves that much. Poor guy has it truly awful.
 
darn it guys! lol i was this close to getting those can of beams pieces! i was in check out and was trying to figure out how to send a message to the seller with my check out (also stupidly did a coin flip), was aiming to get two one blue one and one galick gun, and when i clicked confirm and pay it said it was expired x_x uggghhh shouldve just confirmed and paid right away, i think i was pretty much the first one too, pretty sad now :(

on the plus side at least i saved myself a good chunk of money though..but still...i was so close, should not have hesitated ugh :slap :gah: :thud:
 
Great, again one character who has figures and a non-canon character. This line... I hope Trunks comes with a ton of normal (and happy) faces.
 
Trunks has only two figures, not counting the PC figure so that's fine :dunno Future Warrior is strange...
 
This line repeats the same characters in a tiresome loop. I know these characters sell, but I want new characters, and Trunks has two (three) differents figures already. I will be saving money I guess T_T That Xenoverse Trunks better has a good amount of accesories to convince me.

I don't care about Future Warrior, at least he is not stealing a monthly slot.

Yeah, I read that. So it seems he's become the default Time Patroller for the series which makes me think he'll be the S.H. Figuarts version.
 
Wow, just wow. Time patroller trunks and the other default guy? Why? Where's gogeta, bardock, raditz, nappa, majin vegeta, ss4 goku? What the hell?!?!?
 
Damn it. I really didn't want them to start doing video game and spin off characters. There's so many other characters that take priority over these two...

I've never played Xenoverse so I have no connection to these characters. I guess they're doing this to gauge if there's any interest in pursuing video game/non canon characters such as the SS3 Vegeta prototype they showed a while back
 
I'm really curious/excited to see the S.H. Figuarts of Trunks and the Time Patroller. I'm hoping the upgraded quality and newer articulation are incorporated into the products. (The pricing has me worried that they don't.) If they are, we may very well be seeing the beginning of two releases per scheduled month for the remainder of 2017.

S.H. Figuarts Xenoverse Trunks, S.H. Figuarts Time Patroller, and Figuarts Zero EX Super Saiyan 4 Goku in one month along with other unannounced Tamashii Nations series releases. :panic:

Tamashii Nations has a different idea when it comes to priority. They're going to capitalize on what they feel is popular at the moment which is Dragon Ball Super and Xenoverse/Heroes.

If these sell well, the video game characters and designs would be a goldmine for Tamashii Nations. It certainly won't please the fans that have been waiting for older characters and designs to be released any time soon though.
