Dang it. I knew we wouldn't have been able to use the faces without the scouter.

That's the same thing that went through my head too! I was hoping I could even use the scouter on other figures thinking maybe they made it able to just friction fit on the ear.

They sure made Krillin seem like a true badass in tonight's episode! I hope they'd make a Dragonball Super Krillin version. Poor Gohan lol :)

I hope that form means that he went Super. He looks like evil Super Buu, so I'm guessing it's his Super form.

Does there need to be an explanation for Fit Buu? I mean there really shouldn't be a reason why he can't be fit, right?

I enjoyed this episode a lot for Krillin. They really focused on his determination to be part of the team in Tournament rules which he excels at. He showed Gohan that his technique is on point, with very cool and useful improvements, and showed Goku that he'll overcome his fear by putting everything he has into holding his own.

He's not going to stay skinny for too long. I'm willing to bet it's just a 1 episode gag, he'll gain all his weight back immediately after

btw imo Goku's (or more accurately, the writers) explanation for not including Trunks and Goten is completely bogus. They had no problem putting chibi Gohan in harms way, and setting them up to fight evil Buu, but a battle royale? Nah they can't handle that :dunno

Dont entirely agree, throughout super and even dbz theyve been shown to be literally too childish. Tbh, I agree theyre not entering. Yes fused and one on one theyre strong, but as this weeks ep excelently showed, as did much of super, the show and situations are going back to experiemce and martial arts and battle know-how. Really love that. T&G are inexperiemced kids, def not comparable to the hard way Gohan had to keep up and even HE has nw been shown to worry about his skill as a fighter, apart from power. Really like how they do find ways to make ot less about 1v1 power levels. T&G are reckless kids and in the buu saga they had no choice. Now they literally do. I hope the tournament delivers, a battle royale is awesome and sort of amazing we've never had it before. Also getting to see the androids fight again is cool, always been stupid how 18's been left out.

Quite cool how much this series made me engaged again ever since the Black saga. And the callbacks to db/dbz and I like the way they're expanding the z-fighter family too. Bunch of nice character moments that I always missed in dbz. Is lot NOT what I can imagine it ould be? Yes, but that was with dbz too. Whatever, I'm enjoying it nonetheless.

You have a point Sil, but still, I'd take two Super Saiyans over regular mortals on my side anyday, experienced or not. Even if they get eliminated, they still should participate, they can do hella damage way more than Roshi or Tien can. I woulda excepted a more logical excuse, like Goku saying "lets get Goten and Trunks! They're pretty powerful and we need the strongest we can it," and then Bulma or Chichi immediately shutting Goku down, saying "absolutely not! They have to work on school work and that's that!" Then Goku must go to the next best thing, like Tien, Android 17, etc. I would've accepted that excuse more than just him saying "they're too reckless"

by the way, welcome back Sil :wave haven't seen you post here lately where the hell you been

Probably but I wouldn't mind him staying that way though.

This is different than Gohan's childhood inclusion in Dragon Ball Z. That was a matter of life and death based on power with no rules. Z Fighters needed all the power they could use.

The Tournament of Power needs team members that fill out certain roles. Trunks and Goten don't necessarily have that much experience with team or Tournament style battles. Goku's assessment in their lack of experience was correct.

Excluding Trunks and Goten doesn't have anything to do with power. Goku is finding members that will take this as seriously as possible without knowing the consequences of being eliminated and losing the Tournament. Trunks and Goten would be liabilities to the entire team.

lol i dunno man guys. i see what you guys are saiyan, but to me it's still a bogus excuse. If they had included them from the start then nobody wouldn't have said anything to the contrary on why they shouldn't be there, is what I'm trying to say

Certainly from the viewer's perspective. We would naturally go along with the decisions that they made but, once they went into detail on each fighter, our minds could have changed. Trunks and Goten, with their lack of experience, would have entered the Tournament of Power and then prove to be liabilities to the entire team. It could have been an eventual argument on why they were even included from the get-go thus wasting two spots. (Very similar to Fat Buu's role in the Universe 6 Tournament.) I was very surprised that Goku actually used strategy, along with Gohan's help, by evaluating the experience of Earth's fighters to form the best team.

If they feel that Goten and Trunks are too childish and lack training... then TRAIN THEM. I really don't understand the logic. I know the writers have to make it mostly about Goku. But it really doesn't make any sense to have fighters with so much potential not doing any training at all. If eternal peace was a thing, then sure let them just be kids, but that is not the case. They should know by now that the lives of many hang on the strength of their group. It makes zero sense not to stay in a training posture.

I am happy to see them using some of the other characters, I'll just ignore anything about power levels and god ki and enjoy the ride.

Great point, similar to how we saw Gohan stepping in to train a young Goten early in the Buu saga and then later saw Piccolo train them with Fusion. You have two infinitely powerful sons that will inherit your legacy, get them up-to-speed...especially given how Future Gohan had trained Future Trunks...he had NO ONE else because they were all killed.

I think they're just victims of the writing right now...hopefully we'll see some more focus on them.

Exactly. They first achieved Super Saiyan basically with no effort, whereas it took everyone else a buttload of stress and pain. That right there should show that they have the potential to surpass all of them.

But I suppose there's still a chance. We don't know what to expect when the tournament happens, they could throw us a curveball and Trunks/Goten can make an appearance due to some unforeseen circumstance.

The thing that bothers me is why Goku won't tell everyone what's at stake. I feel that would make them fight that much harder since it's not just a regular tournament. The logic behind keeping it a secret doesn't make sense. Really wish they would've gotten other fighters from around the universe instead of just staying with Earth fighters

@prod I thought they were forbidden by whis' dad to tell anyone?

@crisis thanks man. I never really went away but just got too busy to in any talk here. Also don't have that much to add seeing as damaged ssj goku is still the last figuarts dbz fig I bought. At some point it just felt stupid to keep posting opinions about products I don't even consider buying. And DBS isn't talked about here muh either anymore.

As for T&G, deffo they're a victim of writing, but I don't mind that. Tbh I feel like they're largely redundant characters. (Sorry fans?) I don't think Goku seeking adults for this is bogus writing. (Not bringing them to friezas fight felt dumber to me.) They don't have time to train them or look for other team members to train with and this ep made it clear that it'll definitely have team aspect to it. But yeah sure ths is a writing choice and if T&G had been the most popular chars they'd have been in.:lol Still think the actual excuse thy made up is better thought out than "uh homework".:lol I mean, esp Goten is young, what if he flinches at crucial moments ("DODGE"). Again I get you can work around that as a writer but you can with anything. I'm okay with it, I like this lineup, it engages what fans have been criticizing dbz for head on (chars becoming irrelevant due to power lvl) and the story's excuse makes sense to me. I'm not gonna ask for more from dbsuper lol.
