To all you who doubted me over the last year whenever I mentioned a picolo repaint (clears throat)
HAHA
HAHA
Ok we are blowing this out of proportion here! So what if hes a repaint? No one cared last year when Gohan was repainted! As far as im concerned, its yet another great figure for my collection, with plenty more on the way.
Dont buy him if you feel so strongly about it, no one is going to like every figure they make.
Some of you guys are overreacting, lol. It's not a big deal that they did a repaint. They release about 4-5 other figures per year now, anyway.

Maybe those of us who dropped $65-$80 for Piccolo this year after Tamashii said one re-release a year, and they pull this ****. We have every right to be pissed off. Ok, we get a anime accurate Piccolo, but we already got Goku in May... Its a waste of a spot that could have gone to Nappa, Normal Goku, or 18... Now, we won't get any of the 3 until 2014. Freeza will make up for it next month, but I hate the fact that they said one a year, and hype up the exclusive for it to be Piccolo.

But this Piccolo is essentially a new figure, not a reissue, plus, who really thought a brand new figure at SDCC? I didnt and for good reason; NO figure line has ever had a new release at SDCC, its always been a repaint or variation, for the simple fact that said figure wont get a retail release.
Can you imagine Nappa beibg the exclusive? All fine until you go to buy him....and the scalpers have the prices sky high because he is a limited run.
Yeah, but if the SDCC exclusive was another figure completely then wouldnt that place a major hindrance on a possible re-releases of that figure? I'm not sure that they reissue sdcc exclusives after the initial release, and if they did then it wouldnt be much of an exclusive. If the SDCC exclusive was Nappa, or frieza, they would have to release a repainted non exclusive version once the exclusive version sells out. Either way we're looking at a repaint. I like to think of the SDCC exclusive as a *'bonus'*.
But Tamashii said that the Sdcc ex would be better than Normal Goku!! A repaint of piccolo is not!

Jayrod, how do you know we wont see any of those figures until next year? Bluefin already said at least one more figure was being brought forward, along with Krillin; plus, they just about confirmed Goku was being released this year, with that "soon" comment on twitter; he may be right after Krillin.
I still stand by my comment that if the SDCC was a new figure it would be all but impossible to buy unless the scalpers grew a heart.
Unless Piccolo comes with a cannon beam, the. He is a repaint.
SDCC SS Goku wasnt a repaint/rerelease.
