I couldn't be happier as this is the figure I was hoping for. I refused to overpay for the original because I didn't like the colors, in fact I wouldn't have even bought the original at normal price due to the colors. After everything I'd been reading I didn't think this was gonna happen, so I'm pleasantly surprised. I think he will come with the Special Beam Canon since it's been shown at cons as well as a magazine, which would make him even better.

So much for their earlier claim of moving away from repaints...

Piccolo is the one repaint that still needed to be done. Manga Goku and Gohan got repaints, so it stands to reason Piccolo would as well since the original stands out like a sore thumb. After this there will be no need to repaint future figures.

Also keep in mind that Piccolo was released long before this line exploded, and the only way people have been able to get him since then has been on the aftermarket. It makes sense to release Piccolo again now that the line has become highly popular and give people a chance to get him who aren't willing to pay scalper prices.

But Tamashii said that the Sdcc ex would be better than Normal Goku!! A repaint of piccolo is not!

How do you know it's not part of a two pack? They implied there would be more than one "pack" at SDCC. Power Rangers is getting one of them, DBZ could be getting the other. Normal Goku and Piccolo were shown together with effect parts in a magazine some time ago...

I'll still buy him. I even said a few days ago how I want a rerelease of Piccolo and SS Vegeta... Hahah just didn't think it would be this soon. The way they hyped the SDCC exclusive as being better than Goku, now is laughable being Piccolo.

No one hates piccolo LOL. I have the first piccolo and love that figure. it was the first fig I purchased from this line. The thing is that tamashii said no more repaints/reissues this year!!!! And that we would get something better than normal goku which would be him + someone else . Or something. Its on their twitter. You didn't debunk ****. I put up the W&A transcript were they stated the armor figure was NOT MMPR, they said Goku was coming soon in the Q&A after people asked about 15 times during the Q&A. They also mentioned the pck where MMpR was once again shot down.

They said maybe. But after their comment of 1 rerelease a year fell through, I won't beleive anything until I see it.

It's not a re-release though, it's a repaint. A repaint that may come with a brand new effect part.

Still doesn't change the fact that Tamashii screwed the pooch here.

Tamashii screwing us isn't a opinion. Its fact. They stated one rerelease a year. We got Goku. People blasted their page about Piccolo and they said maybe. Now we get a 2nd rerelease/repaint this year. They lied, point blank.

"Does the PR exclusive have some sort of armor or shield?" No...but THAT one is for something else

This is in direct reference to the Red Ranger wearing the Green Ranger's Dragon Shield. They're saying that he's gonna be offered for something else, presumably NYCC.

Lol, thats the funny thing about dbz, the characters get stronger every time their hair grows. And you think thats cool. OK. Like I said, I don't hate Goku. I don't hate any DBZ character, really. I'd even buy an SS2 Goku. It's all well. So long as I get Piccolo first
About you and this goku being a beast thing, overpowered characters are common in all fighting anime/manga. you have to look at the depth of the charcater rather than what theyre capable of, at least thats what I do. And Goku has about as much depth as a rock mentally speaking
