One of my Nappas hip joints is upside down so the leg has almost no range of motion at all... That really sucks, no way to fix it without cracking him open and no way to return him because my mother in law forwarded him from Japan.

Well if you don't want it.. 👀

@misterW

It all depends if Tamashii Nations sees any strong demand and potential sales in the characters. Luckily this line has such a huge market that Tamashii can take risks every now and then. This year was a really good year for such risks. Xenoverse Time Patroller, Nappa, Shenron, Yamcha, and Tien. Kid Goku is the first release for the Dragon Ball market and Goku Black is going to be Tamashii's first Dragon Ball Super character release that wasn't in either of the new Dragon Ball Z movies. So while taking risks, they're also expanding into others shows that aren't Z related. So it will be really interesting to see what 2018 brings.

That's gonna be a SDCC ex one day guaranteed. That's the one I'm really holding out for

Yep, agreed. Im not buying Nappa until that day. There literally was zero reason for Tamashii to mis-color him unless they plan to do this color scheme at sdcc. Its already been proved that his scouter is meant for the yellow armor color, so its an otherwise bizarre choice, ESPECIALLY when the original topless Nappa had gold gloves and boots xD

I'm buying one Nappa just to have just in case but I'll keep him in the box for if/when the anime colored version gets released at which point I'll dump him. They should really just stick to anime colors from now on. It's the prevailing color choice in the world

The color choice seems to be the go-to attire for Bandai products such as Figuarts, Shokugan, and SCultures. It'll be interesting to see how Tamashii Nations handles it because they could potentially release him with the Anime colors and the Arlia colors. I honestly would prefer the Arlia colors for the SDCC Exclusive and the Anime colors for the Premium Color release. Although, Tamashii Nations would feel more obliged to follow the Anime colors if it were chosen for the SDCC Exclusive.

For certain releases, I agree. On the other hand, Tamashii Nations knows that Nappa is highly demanded in the market and they're going to take any opportunity to milk it.

Do you guys know if barnes and noble receives web exclusives or are those only available at online retailers? I feel like I should know this since I've been collecting this line for years haha, but I thought I'd ask you all. Im debating about getting nappa now since he is a web exclusive, or just waiting to see if I can get him in store with a gift card

Yeah, Barnes & Noble should carry Nappa. They seem to be kind of slow with releases though. I haven't been to mine in awhile but there weren't many newer releases. You can check with your local B&N retailer and ask when they might get them in stock.
How about Yamcha and Tein?
Same. They'll have them available come release date and after for cheaper probably.

Whenever it comes to preordering stuff, if it's a standard release I don't really bother. It's the exclusives that I make sure I preorder and also figures that come with preorder bonuses top

I remember seeing people on some forums still waiting for their preorder of Vegitto to come through, a couple months after everyone else got theirs :lol

I dont think I've ever preordered an SHF, especially when I receive mines either the same time or before preorder recipients

i actually think that was when people were waiting on their anime island orders (which is one of the retailers that take longer) and maybe mh toy shop at the time. I picked mine up in person while shopping, didnt PO at the time since it was a priority. Usually, if i import it's from amiami and i get it in about a weeks time if i do air shipping, and that's usually a month before state-side release, so i never really had problems with that. Other than that, if i can wait i just go with the PO discounts from my local shop and just sit back and wait till it's and stock and pick it up lol

usually i would also PO if i anticipate an item is gonna be a hot seller as well, just so i dont have to scramble for it and deal with evil bay sellers marking up the prices and etc

Tamashii Nations produces a lot these days for the Dragon Ball Z S.H.Figuarts line where it's easily obtainable.

...Now Star Wars Web Exclusives. If you don't order one within the time period that's stated on P-Bandai, expect to pay almost double in the after market. Then they pulled some **** with early pre-orders similar to Figma.

oh man the star wars stuff is crazy! i remember staying up to nail the PO for ROTJ luke, and also barely POing Darth maul in time, even the recent reissue went out instantly. That's not even getting into if you want the movie realization samurai stuff either. Also, yeah figma is a pain in the butt if you dont PO in time as well (i POed black knight Guts from berserk as soon as i saw it up for a repainted reissue). Figma's shoot up in price right away espeically if it's popular, and they do do reissues here and there but not often enough imo. Sometimes the figma bonus stuff pisses me off since you have to order from GSC directly. I'm still on the market for a figma deku, i skipped out on the PO since it was so bare bones for the price, then found out the GSC bonus was something that shouldve been included with it, and now the figure is nowhere to be found unless you want to pay a ridiculous price for it! I'm sure theyll do another version of him sometime but yeah.

Glad in terms of prodcution DBZ figures are easier to get a hold of now, especially since theyre doing regular releases again for some figures, and also there's always figurise standard to fall back on. Bandai keeps their model kits in circulation for a long time so no risk if you wait on those, theyll still be around for the same prices later on too.

Also hoping figma decides to reissue band of hawk Guts one day too, missed out on it since i lagged it. Was thinking of getting griffith and caska too, but they werent a priority at the time, i saw plenty of good deals for those two on evil bay for a long while, oh well lol

Yeah, barnes and noble has taken forever to update their stock. I think it's been roughly 5 months since the ones I normally go to updated their stock (they just did last week) and the newest dbz stuff they got was battle damaged gohan and the xenoverse figures.

Still trying to find Griffith for a good price. I got pretty lucky with band of the hawk guts a couple years ago, ended up getting him for $90 at image anime when I was visiting New York. Bummed I got into Berserk too late to get these figures at retail though 😭

I'm so behind on the recent Star Wars figures and it sucks cuz they're almost all exclusives and the aftermarket prices are ridiculous. Luckily I can still find some here in Okinawa at the ToysRUs and the local anime shops around island for cheaper than online but haven't been able to purchase due to lack of funds lately [emoji30]
