@cobra22 those are awesome pictures! really like trunks with the dolorian haha and you were right, the manga ss goku head goes pretty well on the SWA body!
So I finished detailing and building SSB goku. I tried darkened the sleeves of the shirt, the blue part of the chest, and the boots, and left the belt and wrist bands the default color to give it that look the anime does whenever he transforms. Also used orange for the skin shading and red shading for the gi. Used brown for the shoe laces too, i also painted the shoe lining, i used a zaku red as it matched the sticker colors, and also because when i had ordered red paint they were out of stock lol Outlining the eyes with black also add alot to the faces, really makes the eyes pop, i would def recommend this to anyone building these. I outlined the outside of the whites before putting it together and thinly the inside rim of the eye socket (with gundam real touch marker). Having all the supplies from building gundams really helps!
Overall, it's pretty darn good, if i never got into figuarts i wouldnt have minded this being my sole collection of dbz figures tbh. The only thing is that i wish the arms were a bit longer for goku, it looks a bit weird when trying to do kamehameha poses etc. Also the beam effect kind of doesnt work for kamehameha but is pretty good for one handed ki blasts, i like the way the charge effect looks but just wish the beams of light were much longer.
Still gotta do top coats but atm it's pretty good, dont regret the purchase or build at all!
Also, i think it was Angelo? That mentioned the size of SHF broly compared to figurise goku, man i am surprised that broly is still somewhat in scale with it! I can see how the figurise Broly might smaller, but i hope it's similar in size. The model kit wasnt as tall as i thought it would be, overall good scale imo.
Forgot to add that the stand for the beam blast combined with the prong for the hip makes for a great stabilizer stand for the figure if you just want the figure to be in a heroic or glaring standing pose. I definitely dont want these guys to take a shelf dive.
