Jayrod, he said that we wouldnt have to wait a year for it, that means that the figure could be released on Jun 12 in Japan and he still wouldnt have lied :lol I'm sure Derringer answered questions to the best of his ability.

No I totally understand the fact that he has to be silenced when it comes to announcments, cause Tamashii is the aame on their social media sites. I'm just trying to get something out of him to cure the sting of Piccolo!

They are both packs.

Also regarding normal Goku, Tamashii releases are decided months to even a year ahead of actual release. I'm saying that since I know at this point some of you are going to think there was some sort of conspiracy when there is not. Just hold out a bit longer, and no you don't have to wait a year.

Hopefully this year. We have been waiting for Normal Goku a long time :). And please some faces , power effects, etc would be awesome .

-sincerely ALL DBZ fans.

Screw that. Now that anime Piccolo has been confirmed I don't care about normal Goku! I wont be happy until I get battle damaged Piccolo!

*EDIT*::mad:

Damn, seems I missed everything. PICCOLO, YES. I'm buying three just to celebrate. So glad they actually made it.

...Nappa...lol. People are mad about this? SERIOUSLY? I'd say get a hobby, but action figure collecting is a hobby and it's made some people mad...so...get anger management? Either way I'm seriously happy, now I can have a little SDCC exclusive set up in my collection.

Tamashii screwing us isn't a opinion. Its fact. They stated one rerelease a year. We got Goku. People blasted their page about Piccolo and they said maybe. Now we get a 2nd rerelease/repaint this year. They lied, point blank.

"Us"? You and a few other people maybe, but not "us". People on this board don't make up the entire buying public. Screwing us would be hinting at an amazing figure and then revealing no release at all.

ugh...I already had a headache and this thread is making it worse. Not much else to contribute except my excitement over the announcement. Can't wait to have the SDCC Piccolo.

So hinting at an amazing figure and not releasing it ,would be screwing us? Hmm let me think ? They did it with normal goku for like 3 years. I don't care if they rerelease piccolo . I just want them to release normal goku as well!!! Yeah!

When I said us, I ment us who bought Piccolo in the past few months at $60-$80 dollars. Now we get to watch everyone get one at $45ish. Now don't get me wrong, I'm happy for those who needed/wanted this figure and can now get him, I just wish they saved this for another slot and gave us a new face for the exclusive. Nappa just made more sence due to size and Vegeta just coming out. Either way, I will buy the new Piccolo, hopefully he comes with new things, like an effect piece.

Touché...but I'm talking about them confirming a release and turning around and taking it back. Normal Goku was only shown off, never confirmed for a release (though it seems to be on the horizon so who cares).

If it's that big of a deal then resell the original Piccolo and use the money to buy two SDCC Piccolos. Far as I'm concerned the originals still have worth, look at the first release Gohan. I also bought my first Piccolo for $80 last January, I SHOULD be pissed...but I don't care, the old Piccolo sticks out too much and bothered me.

I couldn't sell my Piccolo! I'll get the new one! Hopefully his tunic isn't as hard to get on this go around. Anything to keep the line going. Maybe we can all bug them to do SS Vegeta again. Wouldn't mind getting one for a SS Trunks custom.

No please
No more rereleased after piccolo ....

We don't need another rerelease after sdcc Piccolo. The line needs to focus on much, much more important things... Like battle damaged Piccolo, and Evil King Piccolo, kid Piccolo, Piccolo with a halo. The list goes on and on.

Ok I read all that happened today and have a headache and am pissed and suprised at some of the dumb, ridiculous comments.
Is this all this line does is rerelease the same old things over and over?
This company is not stupid, this line like many others get new fan base so why not rerelease same figs or repaints thats good marketing
Its obvious from the pic he is anime coloured; blue belt, pink muscles and darker green, easy to spot
:exactly:
So much for their earlier claim of moving away from repaints...
They said rereleases and repaints so far can be considered a new fig because it represents manga or Anime. I dont know why people dont get that
At least they are now fresh out of figures to repaint, next years will be an awesome unique figure, but for now im happy; this year we have double the releases on last year, with more still to be announced, a Piccolo repaint isnt all that bad surely?
I think it was a great idea and im happy we are gettig it. It was obvious having the sdcc gohan. Which is why i had the will to hold off on piccolo
Like wtf! Are they so lame as to get our hopes up and tell us we wont be doing any more repaints and then to cop out and do it anyways is a load of crap, im EXTREMELY dissapointed with them, deff not getting that figure already have my piccolo dont need another, such a fail on their part( ya its good for the newcommers but cmon!)
I think some people jumped the gun and should have just waited for SDCC, im glad i did and trust me it was hard to. But i had good hope
Oh they can repaint anything ... We could get a repaint of scouter vegeta with the wrong colors from that one episode. Or they could repaint ssj3 goku without the orange glow . They could repaint ssj goku with orange dark orange clothes for the non shaded haired ssj goku. They could repaint krillin once he's released to have the accurate dark navy boots instead of the black ones...
:exactly: which im almost positive it will happen with good reasons too
Ok we are blowing this out of proportion here! So what if hes a repaint? No one cared last year when Gohan was repainted! As far as im concerned, its yet another great figure for my collection, with plenty more on the way.

Dont buy him if you feel so strongly about it, no one is going to like every figure they make.
:exactly:
But this Piccolo is essentially a new figure, not a reissue, plus, who really thought a brand new figure woild be released at SDCC? I didnt and for good reason; NO figure line has ever had a new release at SDCC, its always been a repaint or variation, for the simple fact that said figure wont get a retail release.

Can you imagine Nappa being the exclusive? All fine until you go to buy him....and the scalpers have the prices sky high because he is a limited run.
:exactly::goodpost::clap:hi5:
Yes the Armor tweet was about Power Rangers.

It was an anonymous post from 4chan where people were speculating about SDCC exclusives. There has been never been a statement on Facebook or Twitter addressing this. In fact a lot of things where "tamashii said this" seems to be second hand or even 4th hand information from somewhere else that was nothing more than speculation.

In addition, not everything we say on facebook or twitter is meant to be an ambiguous statement. It took me a while to find where in the thread this rumor of the SDCC release being "better than goku" came from and it originated from someone misinterpreting our Twitter answer of "it's something else."

@TamashiiNations So are we getting a Figuarts normal Goku as SDCC exclusive this year??? :D

@mike3114 it's something else
So happy u cleared up so much, please swing by more often :)
THANK you Derringer for clearing stuff up. I hate to see people getting angry at Bluefin/Tamashii over stuff that was never said.
:clap
What he said couldn't have been clearer. How dense are you?
Not sitting with anyone but jayrod i dont think ur getting it bro
In any case there are still some other loose ends with the other departments that need to be tied up. There are still 2 more dragon ball items from Bandai Shodo to be revealed still, so you guys look forward to that. We'll show clearer pictures as we get closer to July.
So cool cant wait, thanks for the info
No please
No more rereleased after piccolo ....
I dont see anything wrong with this as long as theres a ourpose, they are obviously catering to those fans of the manga and anime which im all for. I say u dont like it DON'T ****ing buy it simple as that, some will agree with u some wont

No please

There's nothing wrong with straight up re-releases like this year's SS Goku. That shouldn't have any effect on new figures. If you want the line to grow re-releasing major characters is important because it gives newcomers a chance to get into it without having to pay the exorbitant aftermarket prices. There could be hundreds of people on the fence about going in on this line because of how much it would cost them to get Super Saiyan Vegeta. So re-releases are a good thing. It's repaints that we don't need to see any more of after Piccolo.

My body wasnt ready! .. at first. Then I realized that that isnt the official tamashi page where they release new images. Actually, that Piccolo looks like the old one, someone just photoshopped the arms pink. The purple isnt as dark as the pixelated version on the Tamashi facebook page. I'm calling bs.

Sorry for giving you a bullcrap link, didn't look very closely at the images
