Lol, thats the funny thing about dbz, the characters get stronger every time their hair grows. And you think thats cool. OK. Like I said, I don't hate Goku. I don't hate any DBZ character, really. I'd even buy an SS2 Goku. It's all well. So long as I get Piccolo first
About you and this goku being a beast thing, overpowered characters are common in all fighting anime/manga. you have to look at the depth of the charcater rather than what theyre capable of, at least thats what I do. And Goku has about as much depth as a rock :/

Piccolo was already released . And like I said I don't hate a rerelease piccolo. I was glad ssj1 goku was rereleased so I didn't have to pay rape prices on eBay. So good for who didn't have him . The beef is that Tamashii said no more repaints this year ! That's the moment . Tamashii . But hopefully it is a two pack with goku and piccolo to set up that fight with radditz ......

Oh wow lmao this thread blew up in past hr lol but real talk im pissed and other ppl are pissed too but its not really at piccolo, but at tamashii, it was stated on their twitter acct that they wouldnt do repaints anymore i believe or it was their facebook but this was months ago...so whoever wants to look for that post...have fun, lol either way because of that post i ended up buying my piccolo for around 90$ when it could have been for 45'ish so thats why i will refuse to get him, if by some bizzarre chance hes in a 2 pack with reg goku which is very unlikely because they did say we are only getting 1 sdcc this yr than i guess i would have to purchase the repaint but other than that i dont care for him...even though mines got yellow biceps lol

But I am right. If you were an old school Power Ranger fan you would know how obvious what they're talking about is. They asked and answered in a discreet way because they're only allowed to reveal so much, but to translate... the question was essentially

"Is the PR exclusive the shielded Red Ranger?"

And when you know that's the question the answer becomes more clear.

"No...but THAT one is for something else"

Omg... there is NO armored exclusive! Tamashii prepared an ambiguous answer about the shielded Red Ranger because he was an obvious choice to be a SDCC exclusive. When no one asked about it they ambiguously asked and answered the question themselves. They were saying the armored Red Ranger would be for something else. They weren't saying something else would be an armored exclusive. Why can't you get that through your head?

This is self serving since I just ordered the older one, but I hope the new release is a 2-pack of Piccolo and Goku, and that the Piccolo is bare bones, without the cape. At least then the original would maintain some of its value. . .but not unlike Hot Toys, I don't get the impression that these guys care anything about the real collectibility of these things. I hope the potential of releasing a figure with less will appeal to their sense of frugality, though

Wrong. They said they were looking to move away from repaints and offer new figures in their place. They never said effective immediately. They never said there definitely wouldn't be any repaints this year. They just said it was something they were looking to do. I can be looking to do something, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's gonna happen this year.

It was an anonymous post from 4chan where people were speculating about SDCC exclusives. There has been never been a statement on Facebook or Twitter addressing this. In fact a lot of things where "tamashii said this" seems to be second hand or even 4th hand information from somewhere else that was nothing more than speculation.

In addition, not everything we say on facebook or twitter is meant to be an ambiguous statement. It took me a while to find where in the thread this rumor of the SDCC release being "better than goku" came from and it originated from someone misinterpreting our Twitter answer of "it's something else."

I have a question. Can you buy a SDCC figure from an online store like BBTS, or are the SDCC figures only available at Cimic Con? I really want a NORMAL Goku, and I see people here talking about a Goku and Picolo two pack???? I have no idea what's going on right now...

I'm telling you right now, Tamashii said 1 repaint/release a year. We got Goku, now we get Piccolo. Great for those that haven't had the chance to get either figure. But it sucks for those of us who do, that expected a new release this year.
