Toyz always delivers their boxes in pristine condition. I have yet to receive dented boxes from them

Sorry to hear about your boxes guys, but unfortunately that's what you get when you order from Amazon. They care about getting your items to you QUICKLY, not in the best condition. Do I blame them? Yes and no. The whole "Prime shipping" strategy and the process behind it probably doesn't allow them to effectively package the items with enough time that most other retailers do. Because folks like BBTS, Toyz, etc. KNOW that their business hinges on the collectors, they take the time and resources to pack your items so they reach you perfectly. Toyz even has "damaged boxes" sales. I picture an assembly line of Amazon employees just chucking stuff in all the boxes so they can get stuff out efficiently...their jobs kind of "depend on it".

What might be a solution is that Amazon should offer a $1 or $2 "Prime collector packing strategy". You pay an extra $1 or $2 and they pack your item a little better and MAYBE add an extra day (making it three instead of two) to give them extra time.

Any time I get something from Amazon, I anticipate it coming slightly damaged so I will intend to open it.

I almost always get my boxes at least a little bit dinged up when ordering from Amazon. I rarely order figures from them solely because of that reason. Bardoon is right on the money about why it’s like that

I’ve been pretty lucky then haha. I’ve ordered all my dbz figuarts from amazon and I have all the normal releases minus the RoF figures and they all came in great condition. Mine also always come packaged in a box and not an envelope like I’ve seen some of y’all say. That seems like a really poor way to mail a toy to me.

Has anybody bleached Super (Saiyan) Vegeta's hair to see what it would look like with Buu Saga anime coloring accuracy?

Edited: For those that have had damaged packages from Amazon, have you e-mailed them through customer service?

This and the quick shipping is the only reason to order from them. If I want anything pristine without fear of it being destroyed in shipping, I go BBTS.
And with bbts, I never get parcel tracking. I even get a surprise custom clearance charge sometimes.

Amazon is getting SS3 Goku tomorrow, so I may order that one then.

I have to admit, Tamashii handled that release well to go along with Dragon Ball Z Kai. Goku may have transformed into Super Saiyan 3 a month ago but that's still relatively close from the anime to the product release.

Tamashii, please release Kid Buu for an April release.

They all look fantastic!

On the subject of Amazon's questionable decision to send obviously wrecked boxes to customers, my very first Nappa also came in that condition. Corners were crunched up and I had to ask for a replacement, simply because I take good care of all of my toys and their boxes and none of my boxes from 2014 (the year I started buying toys again) even have a dent on them up to now. Nappa's wrecked box would've stuck out too much. Nothing lasts forever in good condition, but if they're gonna get into a bad state later on, then it might as well be due to degradation over time and not simply because it was sent to me that way.

Anyway from what I've heard, it's not actually people doing the packing in some Amazon warehouses, but robots/machines. I guess that's one of the reasons why they don't seem to give a damn when it comes to sending customers obviously wrecked boxes because it's not a human doing the packaging. In another case, the decision about whether to use a box or an envelope to ship toys is also determined by a machine based on weight and size according to an Amazon employee I spoke to a year or two ago. I remember receiving my Marvel Legends Deadpool all messed up because they sent it in an envelope... holy hell lol!

Hence why I didn't bother talking to Amazon about this. They'll just replace the item with more damaged goods. As I said in my review on Amazon, the shipper boxes need to come back.

A few dented packages doesn't compare to the amount of money that Bandai is saving by removing the shippers for overseas sales.

Also, there's absolutely no harm in expressing your dissatisfaction to Amazon through an e-mail to their customer service. You're going to get a response to that rather than writing a review on the product's page.

Damn I just want the Ginyu Tokusentai now in sh figuarts now ...

You guys think they'll come out one day? ( I mean after Buu and other more important characters !)

I really doubt it, maybe Ginyu himself but I don't expec to ever see the others. That's part of why I grabbed the Banpresto versions they released last year, they scale perfectly with the Figuarts collection and they're in the iconic Sentai pose that I'd have them in anyway if they were articulated so it works out just fine.

Figuarts Ginyu and Reccoom would be awesome. I remember loving them both in that old Genesis/Megadrive Dragonball game :)

Tim Phillips had an interesting photo on Facebook about the inside swivel joints...

Bunch of nice pictures guys!

@Tin that box damge is absolutely riduclous. i haven't read through all of it, but isn't it not only a matter of packaging but also how they're handled en noute? Who are these couriers, ace ventura!?

I'm really starting to dig Super Saiyan God Goku with all these photos. I'm hoping he'll have an early release at Anime NYC.

Hahaha! I had to laugh at that Ace Ventura reference. I remember that scene where Jim Carrey was handling that box of glass. Apparently, my shf Nappa was shipping from Amazon's New Jersey office. Had it been shipped from their Mississauga, Ontario office, it would have been handled much better.

Can you post a couple photos? I'm curious
