Yeah that ocean which I've never seen since I enjoy the orange box sets (funi.) I'm good with the funi. But from this clip of ocean dub vegeta he does sound too husky , the voice doesn't sound like it belongs to vegeta it sounds like it belongs to nappa or someone of that size . I really have no complaints of the funimation dub (orange boxes set ) that's what was on toonami and I love that . Goku sounds like goku ,gohan , piccolo vegeta everyone's voice matches their look.

NP, there's quite a bunch of good quality Ocean scenes on YT. I wish I knew where those guys got them from.

Uh yeah there some up there, but not whole episodes, isolated scenes unfortunately. You can find a bunch among these comparison vids. I have to say though, Ocean dub past Namek seems pretty sucky to me with the exception of Brian's occasional moments. But even he disappointed me in this scene for example:

Ah, reminds me of growing up lol, still love Trunks' ocean dub, more mature.

That comparison also shows why I dislike kai so much; such a brilliant scene in the original funi dub wasted by corny japanese music in Kai (no offence to those that like it, it just doesnt suit english voices)

You have to remember though that after the frieza saga, ocean had very little time to dub for UK in order to keep up with funimation; they did all the way until the end of Buu in a year I believe, so it was quite rushed.

I first posted here showing off a custom special beam cannon effect piece I made.

It looked like this.

It worked, but there was a lot about it's construction that was limiting, and at times aggravating.


I got to rethinking it.

These are my new special beam cannons.

Quite a difference.

The central beam can no longer come in to contact with dropping spirals.
The spirals are uniform in spacing and thickness.
Spirals can be made larger than before.
The effects can be made much longer than they were previously.

All previous colors and combinations can still be made.

I'm quite happy with them.

Yeah Ocean's Trunks is good as well, and completely agree with ya there about Kai mate. IF I ever were to watch Kai, I'd watch the japanese version. I'm actually somewhat planning on recutting the Android period of the Funi dub myself into some sort of Kai version.

Btw, since I mentioned it already just now, on the off chance anybody might like it, I've put Zimmer's music underneath a few DBZ scenes (I had to recut them), just for fun. It's not meant to be better or anything, I just felt like trying it out and it was fun to make. If people feel this absolutely isn't the place to post something like this I'll remove the video. Thanks! There are more. Check my channel Silrian777. I don't wanna clot up the forum here by posting them all. I made Vegeta's Final Flash, Goku going ssj3, and Trunks' entire dispatching of Frieza.

Believe it or not I've got 20 minutes of the entire first Goku vs Vegeta fight sitting here done, but I can't friggin get past YT's blocking mechanism. Still working on it.

I agree man, that voice is Vegeta to me. Saw the entire DBZ run on tv as a kid with those voices. Never heard them since, but instantly recognized him. He might not be as gruff than the remastered one, but 1000% more mean.
