Bummer. Regular Goku is an easy pass for me, but I'm really excited about the releases after that.

Last time I check twitter someone asked about nappa and tamashii responded with something along the lines of.... Nappa and Shenron were being evaluated as a possible product.

I've been tweeting Tamashii as well about a ssj Vegeta re-release but no response.

I agree I assume Reg Goku, 17 and 18 will be 2014 releases, and the siblings won't be a two-pack, I think, because 18 said now planning and 17 said for display only.

We'd have Goku in Jan/Feb, it could be quite possible that they pair up a Vegeta re-release with 18 in the spring, in that case I expect Nappa in the summer and 17 in the fall. + an SDCC exclusive

At least, that'd be reminiscent of how this year went.

Idk, I think the survey result might have an impact as well. I forgot, was Nappa on that? Because if he was, and he doesn't get high votes.... ouch...

EDIT: no he wasn't. I think that's somewhat positive. I think Nappa's pretty sure of a release and ergo voting on him seems pointless.

'Evaluating' could also mean discussing what form and mold etc the figure should be, or whether it's good as it is. Not necessarily the fact of getting a release in and of itself.

My goals for collecting this line are to supplement my Bandai/ Irwin Toys Model Kit figure line from back in the heyday of DBZ and pick up some select favorites along the way. I actually was cleaning my room back in 2011 and found these model kit action figures and they rekindled my love of DBZ; I was browsing on the internet for a Vegeta model kit which I never got and stumbled upon the figuarts line.

So, long story short - I am not a completionist in this line.

My model kit figures:
-Regular Goku w/ extra SS head
-Goten, Kid Trunks
-SS Kid Gohan from cell saga (why I passed on Gohan figuart)
-Regular trunks from beginning of cell saga (why I passed on Trunks figuart)
-SS Trunks with saiyan armor
-Piccolo (why I passed on piccolo figuart)
-SS3 Goku (why I passed on his figuart)
-Gogeta

My figuarts so far:
-SS Vegeta (my favorite character is Vegeta)
-SS Goku (just got him for the iconic Instant Transmission hand pose)
-Perfect Cell
-Frieza
-Regular Vegeta

The only way I'd pick up regular Goku is if he came with some awesome accessories and I could cover the cost of him by selling off my MISB SS Goku).

I am looking forward to some of the other figures coming up though: Krillin and Android 18 for sure, Buu if he gets made, probably a great saiyaman, and Bulma.

Don't worry I think regular goku will sell out . He's iconic . And I have a feeling were gonna be surprised with the stuff he's gonna come with . By that I mean I know they know we want accessories and many faces .

No doubt; my guesses are the Kamehameha in ball form, a smiling, angry, screaming and serious face, and maybe a first edition bonus of super saiyan Goku smiling face....hopefully

The reason I would pass on him is I want Saiyan/Namek regular Goku and I don't need two regular Goku's. There are displays where I'd want the Cell/Buu period reg Goku for, I guess, but it's not that Important to me. I want reg Goku to accompany Saiyan/Namek Vegeta...

Really don't know if I'll get him, perhaps sort of pre-emptively and keep him MISB untill I know whether a different version will come out. I wish they'd release marketing photos of reg Goku already, so we know what he'll come with.

It would be kind of cool if they released a regular Goku reflecting the animation style of the earlier sagas, but something tells me that is probably not going to happen. It's just too easy to reuse the preexisting mold.

I'm far from super rich. We get 4-5 figures a year, so its really easy to save up for a release. I like where the prices are currently, other than Piccolo's recent release. I was shooting towards a second market price range. I did pay $120 for SS Vegeta.

Tamashi, please keep your prices where they are now!

I've barely paid below 60$ for any of mine, but that's because of shipping mostly. I did pay way too much for one of my sdcc Piccolo's because of a stupid mixup with Toyarena. And I paid 120$ for ssj Vegeta... Yes... I actually did.

For me it's all in euros though, that does make a difference. Including the international shipping these figures are still cheaper than local prices.

I don't mind too much though, I don't collect that much stuff anyway.

I would definitely not get any characters. Pretty much because when they get in my country, I pay around $100 ( US price $50, just released). If they launched at those prices (over $50), many collectors around the world couldn't afford them. Keep the prices where they are o/

Everyone here should know by now, Nappa is my favorite charcater other than Vegeta and Freeza. So yes, I would pay a stupid price for his figure.
