I kinda agree with that, but his abridged character redeemed him in my eyes, even though its not official. Same with frieza, never liked him in dbz, but abridged made him almost an unconscious comedian, thats honestly why I got him lol.

If he comes out I'll get him but at the same time its no big loss if he doesnt, to me at least.

Same here that tfs increased my liking of those too and in the case of Frieza went from nought to quite high, but I would genuinely be bummed out if nappa didn't get here (granted I want his fully armoured version so my chance to be bummed out is even greater).

The Android period's my favourite, but I really hope that after the twins and if Im lucky a tall long haired Trunks, we'll be done with this period. I personally want more namek characters, lots want buu characters. Android period should be all but closed off in 2014 imo.

Highly doubt we'll be finished with "android/cell saga" by 2014, wr still need 16,19,20 and all other forms of cell id say realisticly 2015 we should be done with them

I thought they would use the upcoming Goku for a SDCC SSG repaint. Probably when it gets to America, or since he's on the cover of the new Battle of Z game coming out early next year, people will be hyped on that end.

I've been seeing people with various complaints for the upcoming Goku release, which are going to deter people from buying it. I definitely want those things to. However, I feel like I'm missing something, because as soon as I saw the new picture, I was really happy what was shown. While I want those things, if it's the only regular Goku I get, it's still going to be my favorite figure to come out. I was so happy to see how obscure they went, giving us that "nervous" face.

I for one will definitely be getting him, I think you maybe mistook peoples gripes about not seeing an angry face in the promos as us not wanting him, but, at least for me I will still get him, but would prefer a yelling face, especially since we have already seen him with one.

If you are referring to the folks on the other forum, ignore them; may seem harsh, but no one should want a figure cancelled just because they have a version of him from another line, thats selfish.

Thats possible, actually its convenient too; I think regular Goku was the first release where they told us of a possible release date before we got official word. Every other figure has been "prototype" until they announced it, Goku already had "early 2014" on his plaque at SDCC, way before now.

Take note that I'm saying this as someone who's favourite period IS the android period: I really hope they don't waste time on 19 and 20 or Cell's other forms. I won't buy 'm I can tell ya that. I'm sorry but to me that just wouldn't feel right towards more major characters from other periods knowing that this line could at all times be cancelled. This is by far the best DBZ line so far imo, I think fans of all periods deserve the main characters as long as the line isn't canceled. Equally it'd also, as more people besides me have noted, be less risky in terms of the line's financial survival.

Whereas Cell's other forms? 19, 20? I don't think Tamashii should go there unless, in a few years, the line has proves itself to be a long running one.

IMO the android saga was the best out of all the sagas, so it isnt surprising that they went with that saga to begin with (the designer being a fan of the android saga helped), While the frieza saga was dramatic, it was very long winded; they were there literally a week, yet the saga seemed to be on TV for months, heck, even the abridged series made fun of that!

The only person i'd disagree with you about is cells first form; I think he would go well with Piccolo and #17, and was also IMO the most menacing of his forms, being that he lurked in the shadows stalking his "prey" waiting for his moment.

I ask for one more Vegeta variant and I get *****ed at, Someone else asks for 2-3 more Goku variants, and everyone finds that to be a splendid idea. Also, I still see Nappa as a release wasted on an unimportant character, you may as well ask for a figure of one of Freeza's foot soldiers.

THE ONLY REASON WE GOT SAYIAN SAGA VEGEATA was the " Over 9000!" meme thing. He even included the smashed scouter. That info came from bluefin.

By the same token, a decade ago, Nappa was a mostly throw-away character. Then along comes DBZ abridged, and he has seen a massive resurgance in popularity.

Again, internet humor is boosting it.

WE WILL get a nappa. it's just a question of when.

I agree obviously, and I'd even go so far as to say I think the Android saga actually has a good plot. However, I still think the main reason with them starting at this period, is because it's DBKai's most recent period.

When I made my comment I doubted about Cell's 1st form, so I get your point. I just mainly feel about 4 more Android releases should do it (a year's worth basically). I opted for 17/18/16/Armoured Long Haired Trunks. The latter could just as easily be 1F Cell, but given the fact people both want a rerelease for Vegeta (who people use as a second trunks), Trunks himself AND some have gripes with Trunks' size, plus Trunks is a more popular character than Cell, I'd expect Tall Trunks sooner.

In any case I feel they've made a somewhat larger shift this year with Vegeta and Frieza. I think by the time 2015 gets here, the main focus should've shifted away from the Androids. I agree it's the best period, it was in many ways a very strong start for the line, but if I look around online, forums such as this, and fan bases overall, I'd say SHF is selling itself short if they venture into smaller android saga characters. So I basically agree with your points a few pages back: this line needs to keep momentum and release plenty of heavy hitters – and the Android saga are almost out.

DBZ abridged isnt like other parodies, just so you both know; abridged still follows the story, it just makes it funnier; its also very well done and has had me in stitches everytime I watch.

Unless you are dead set against it Id sugggest giving it a go, just to see how good it really is.

All those parodies? As far as I know there's one DBZA and that's it. And in a lot of ways it's such a meta-joke-show (refferencing many other things besides DB) that I'd never in any way equate it with the original. It doesn't compete in anyway nor replaces it, because it doesn't do what DBZ does. It's a brilliant meta-comedy show based on dbz. No one in their right mind should watch DBZA when they want to watch DBZ, it's apples and sensu beans. As such, it's easy to keep 'm seperated. It's basically hypothetical 'what if' humor that people actually made instead of just joking about it on the couch. And I'll go on record as to say it's easily one of the funniest things I know, partly because of, and partly unrelated to being a massive fan of DBZ.

I've repeatedly watched all of it and never when watching DBZ did I even remotely get influenced by it. Apart from wishing frieza was a little bit more like his tfs version. DBZA is no different from a parody like family guy's star wars episodes – except the tiny difference that dbza is actually over 9000 times more briliant.

It speaks to how great DBZ is in the first place that it lent itself so well to a genius parody imo. It'snclear the makers are genuine dbz fans, there's way too much intricate refferences in there to hate dbz yet love dbza. I truly experience it as celebritory of dbz, not at all as abuse.

EDIT: don't get me wrong I respect anyone who doesn't feel like watching it. Just wanted to state that DBZA imo isn't replacing DBZ nor abusing of it imo.

Yeah, I tried multiple times, with DBZ abridged and I didn't think it was funny. I get the jokes and the whole meta thing, but I just didn't like it. Like I said, it turned me away. Same with the "It's over 9000" thing. I'll try again.
